Busy busy these days.. haven't even had time to work on music.. been consumed with my new job and the girl. I really need to work on music. I kind of wish she took the whole thing more seriously and respected my decisions regardless of what direction they took me in, but I guess no one's perfect.
I wonder if she liked the present I got her.. I doubt she really cared about it. She has a habit of being disappointed by presents that I don't 'put work into.'
Oh well.. I don't mean to feel sorry for myself, I just start rambling and then kinda keep going.
We've all got our problems.

Or is Cedric of The Mars Volta sounding more and more like a bug with every album? Not to say that they're not wonderful, but the shrillness and peak of his voice sometimes is creepy and seems almost inhuman. They're really pushing the walls. It's crazy the things you can do when you just want to keep things fluid...
He really seems like Jim Morrison's reincarnation sometimes.. not just for his voice, but just for the way he seems to be.

Starting Over...

My name is Michael. I'm a self conscious silent type who is awkward because of a complete lack of social skills. I like to dress nicely, and I like stormy weather. There's this new cafe here that just opened that I think will be glorious when it starts raining, especially at night. It's in a train car.
I'm in a band called the Guns of Mercury, under which my pseudonym is Fera, which is stolen from the latin name of the Brazilian Wandering Spider. It's a lethal little thing. One attack will kill you in a matter of hours, and I say "attack" because they don't just bite once. If you ever met me, though, you'd see the irony in all this. I usually perform alone because the other guy in my band, Curtis, lives three hours away and we don't see each other a lot.
My brother's trying to get me to think of my project as a business and is trying to convince me to get into the music industry, which is pretty much anti what I'm going for, as self sabotaging as that probably is. I've just heard too much to have any faith in the music industry, and I don't believe in corporate America. Corporate America is what makes both first and third world nations, and corporate America fosters hatred in its poisonous loins.
Yesterday I had a really good day. I went to an art opening and did a completely spontaneous synchronized dance with my friends out on the patio. Everyone was watching and it was strange. My friend's little sister made me give her five intense piggy back rides within a twenty minute time period. It was killer.
My undying love for Billy Corgan and SP has brought me here, and it is here I will stay until I pass.
