I figured you were francophone due to the 'gau' and your location being QC.
I certainly don't wish to sound like I don't respect the opinions of other listeners. I believe that there is essentially something to like in nearly all music, and that it just takes the right perspective to appreciate it. It simply goes for me that Zeitgeist simply isn't something that I can get that into, but that doesn't make me like the Pumpkins any less. But when it comes to new music, I found a lot of great things in 2007 that I personally felt were better than Zeitgeist.
One last thing. If you're interested in some Pumpkins-ish music, check out Autolux. Their 2004 album was extremely good, in my opinion, and they manage to sound like a lot of different alternative bands without being clones of any single style or sound. They're very original, and quite unique. I figure being from Quebec you must listen to a lot of great Canadian indie rock, eh?

Sorry for the long post on your wall. Bring the Light is cool except for the chorus of Billys in various places. Kind of cheesy. Were it not for that, the song would be alright. Basically, prod on tracks 1 and 2 is pretty bad, 3, 4, and 5 are all alright, 6 and especially 7 are bad, 8 and 9 are alright, 10 is bad, and 11 and 12 are ok. This is from the official, standard red version, of course.

There is tons and tons of potential for greatness on Zeitgeist among the songs, but ultimately the production is one of the worst things I've heard on CD ever, and I don't mean that as hyperbole. Billy's singing on the record is among the most annoying vocal performances I've ever heard. I generally like almost EVERY song on the album until Billy starts singing, at which point the song just dies for me. The only song that I think has decent production is the title track, which somehow manages to skirt by without a horrendously loud nasal delivery from Corgan. Believe me, I tried very hard to like the album when it came out, and if it weren't for the terrible production values regarding Corgan's voice, I think it would have been as good as the rest of their work, short of Siamese Dream and Adore. Zeitgeist would have been a great album back in the late 90's/early 00's, but thanks to the production, the songwriting just can't shine.
As for Machina II, the LP part of the set has amazing songs, and really cool production. The live recording gives the album a really raw, edgy feel, while also preventing Corgan from being able to turn the vocals up really high in the mix, as he's been doing on his records since the Pumpkins broke up. For me, Zeitgeist is the low point in an otherwise stellar career for the band.
This is just me, personally, but I feel like too many people worship the band as some kind of god, and are thus unable to be at all critical in the way they look at Zeitgeist, as though if they don't fellate Corgan's ego he'll bugger off again and break up the band.
