I'm very jealous! I'd have loved to have met JC! What did he talk about? I've never been to any of those kind of in-store things and wonder if people get there and realise they have nothing to say...

Incidentally, have you heard 'The Jimmy Chamberlain Complex'? I've got the CD and it's brilliant. The drumming is impossible!

Did you get to a show out there in NZ? Hope it was good! I'm still on a high from seeing them two months ago!

THEY PLAYED MAYONAISE!!!!!!!!
The setlist was almost my dream setlist!!! There was a bit of the 'Billy Corgan Show" aspect to it, but HOLY CRAP!!!! Beautiful!!!
Did you get to the shows?

Whoa! Dude, you've got to go to the Jimmy Chamberlin in-store appearance! Tell him he's a champion from me! And no, I don't care if you don't live anywhere near there: MOVE!

Hey up...

Glad your good, and yup I can relate to your excitement! I hope you have an awesome time. I reckon you've made the right decision getting standing. It's the atmosphere and the anticipation that's mint about gigs and u can't get that on the CD player. The energy was electric at Glasgow and London. You'll defo have a ball =)

Re the camera, its a tricky one. I reckon don't bother and concentrate on the moment, coz loads of peeps will put up pics on the tinternet and stuff on YouTube the following day, which u can appropriate! Plus, if its a heavy crowd, it might get damaged.

Man, I'm usually completely rational etc., but when it comes to the Pumpkins things go a bit wrong. Some sort of uncontrollable obsession. That, my friend, is surely not healthy.

So you saw the Future Embrace tour? What did you think? I queued for hours to shake Billy's hand. He was taller than I'd expected. Jewell in the crown, tho, was when I met Jimmy. He played this tiny venue with The J Complex, afterwards managed to get my guitar strap signed. It's all a blur...but a def favourite moment.

Hey ya

Hey, how's you? Nice to meet you, so to speak. You get to see the Pumpkins in NZ? I'd imagine it would have been an awesome show with Queens of the Stonage. Manchester show was amazing, quality performance. Arenas, however, are awful venues (or they are here, when they have no screens). Much better seeing them at Shepherds Bush and Apollo in Glasgow last summer. Clearly I shouldn't have cause to complain!

yeah

I'd think I'd be pretty lucky to get anywhere near him! Nah, for now I'll settle for enjoying the concert, and appreciating I don't have the kids for an evening!
Trust me, you do not want ten babies, chinese or not... they are not as cute when they all start throwing up coz one of them bought home a bug from school, or fighting because one of there brothers looked at them the wrong way, and now they are drawing blood from each other, all whilst in the car and on the way to school!!!

But, you know, yeah, theyre cute

cool about ya ma... I was 16 when I got married and had kids!!! And we've just made the 10 year mark, so yay!!
My fav kind of photography is people... specifically doco photography, war/famine, all the scary stuff, i want to do that one day, but not while my kids are still so young. Would love to do fashion too (totally the opposite!!) but it's pretty brutal in that industry.
so definately people. I love to just watch people, watch their body language, their wee ways of interacting with others around them, it's cool.
Reckon I could organize a photo session with Billy corgan? lol

been away...

Sorry it took me forever to write back, I've been on Holiday in the Gold Coast with my hubby I can't believe thats your mum!!! I thought it mustv been your partner!! funny! I love that you asked if 'i'm good' at photography!! classic!! Well, for the amount that I charge, I should be pretty good!! hehe. I'm ok I guess, I don't really tend to blow my own horn, I just do what I love doing... Mostly these days it's weddings, which is not where I see myself ending up, but to be honest, it's good money, and I do enjoy it.

If you wanna see some of my stuff go to my website

www.megblackmore.co.nz

There are so many songs that you mentioned that I've never even herad of... I am a fan of mellon collie- backwards mostly... I love some of the ADORE album, and Aeroplane flies high box set, etc, but don't know about the newer stuff. Just love listening to Billy sing!!! Not too long to go now!!!!

Now there's a point... It might be cool to come along with camera in tow... A fine suggestion! I'm getting ultra psyched up right now... Only six days to go! I wonder if Santa will be there too?!

I think so too!!

Yeah, I'd be wrapped if they played the songs on my dream setlist!! But I am a major sucker for their old stuff, as I keep saying lol. Whats your dream setlist?
Any idea when they put them up? I see there is a new one for Ireland... so maybe they will???

Gigs

Okay, I have to admit, with all the complaining on this website, it is class for them to release tix early for the fans. Total class! And with Queens of the Stone Age, I mean, even if you aren't in to them, it makes a sweet support.
Last year, when they started playing again, the tix for Belgium sold out in 2 minutes. Then they sold out in Paris even faster (I'm in Brugge in Belgium). The good thing was, they played Pinkpop, one of the festivals near here. (It isn't a patch on Big Day Out.) My mate and I got down there for the day, saw Korn, Dave Mathews Band and Linkin Park, then Smashing Pumpkins closed in a one and a half hour set. Brilliant!
Next Tuesday I'll be getting out to see them in Brussels; it's seating only, but what does it matter? And I mean, wow, if they're playing three-hour gigs, well, wow! I'll let you know what it was like.
Have fun!

Hi!
Thanks for the comment! Here's to the Pumpkins getting down to NZ! It's great to see they're finally getting out to that neck of the woods; I hope you're able to get out to a concert.

Cheers and beers!
