i have heard them say in different interviews, for them it is about the music first over anything else. like you said, fame and money are just something that naturally comes with it, if you have so much talent like they do. that's what i don't get about people, i mean, what do they expect, the pumpkins to just make all this kickass music and not share it with the world? lol

Some are saying the pumpkins are sell outs.
Making music for money. & only money in mind.
But How else do you handle a world thats obsessed and dependant on money though?
At least their creating and I think their music is inspiring

I'm so glad you're continuing to post your poetry. I like this one better than the last because it has even more of a tangible quality. For some reason the image of the postcards pinned to the walls sticks with me. In both the poems of yours that I've read there seems to be a sense of a truth lingering below the surface of the story. I like that very much.

Your poem gave me chills for some reason. Simply because its amazing/haunting. I don't know if i interpreted it correctly. I felt it was 10 minutes till death. For some reason "the deep red rose blossoming on his chest" reminded me of a blood rose from a wound. I felt like i was the "observer" of his last breath. I hope i don't sound to morbid. Very beautiful words. I second Psyche's notion

Sorry for the randomness!

I really liked your poem. It left me with a feeling of the falling man's sense of isolation. It was the last line "The observers." That line makes the poem for me.
