I can't believe the Machina LP is going for 200 dollars brand new and over 100 used on amazon.. I have a new copy.. would it be smart to get rid of it now before the reissue?

If you don't listen to it then I'd say now is the time to flip it. Although, the reissue will probably be very different so the original will likely retain its value. I keep going back and forth on whether to sell my originals, especially Mellon Collie since it commands such a high price. My love for the band and my attachment to the original artwork makes it really hard for me to let them go. If it were any other band I'd sell those suckers in a heartbeat.

Yea I feel the same way.. This is the one band I would pay whatever I could for.. haha
Don't really think I'd sell it.. Like to think im well enough off to have to sell something for 200$ anyway

Was just thinkin i guess.. Think I bought it for $18.00 6 -7 years ago

Is it vinyl you're talking about? I'm on Amazon right now and I pulled up 'Machina' and the physical cd and mp3 are still available.
So, why pay that much for another copy then? (Just wondering.)

I know! >.< I had the option to buy a new one for $50 back in like 2005...but I thought I could find it cheaper. I was such a young fool.

Think I lucked out and got mine for $50 or so, lightly used, in maybe 2007. Since then I was fortunate enough to get it signed separately by both Billy and Jimmy - needless to say it's a prized possession.

I say hold on to it. It's a beautiful package and sounds amazing, plus the reissue is gonna be a newly mixed 3LP or something... a whole different album.

I'm sure the vinyl reissue will cost close to that.

Looks like we're back in a Sellers market for SP merch. I sold my TAFH out of desperation years ago (for £40), and bought one back last year for £15. I was pretty pleased. Seem to be going for £40-£60 again now.

It's tempting to let go of my Machina... but I've always regretted selling my MCIS...

I sold both of my numbered copies of MC&IS last year before the new reissues. Now, since january/february prices have sky rocketed even more on the original pressing of MC&IS... almost ridiculous.
