i saw recently on the MTV rockumentary of the pumpkins that there was a small clip of the double door show
i wanted to know was there ever a full recording of that show or not?

If I remember right (going by what Mayfair has told us time and time again), at least one of the shows were filmed in full, but MTV sits on the rights to it. So when it sees the light of day is entirely up to them, if it even does.

However, there is a soundboard recording in the archives of at least one or two of the shows that could potentially see release through SP at some point.

Indeed Lost Soul, as I understand it, there are two sources that would have any video footage: MTV (though it's possible they may not have kept it) and a gentleman by the name of Don Dowdy who was involved in the filming. I have personally gone out of my way to try and track down Don (as I'm sure others have over the last 10 or so years) but to no avail. Frank Quinto (who was originally in charge of the Archives) revealed that there should be soundboards of all 4 shows, although I cannot guarantee that for sure. I do hope that if MTV does have the video footage, Corgan would attempt to work out some kind of arrangement with them to get the rights/ access to it (because, honestly, what are they gonna do with it?), but again, it's difficult to say. Hopefully, at the very least, we'll get a soundboard compilation of tracks from Double Door, but I'd love to see the full 4 shows get released in their entirety. Getting video would be amazing, but sadly, a bit unlikely at this point.
