I'm surprised they're so much for the Brooklyn show. The ones at Allstate in Chicago are $50 plus fees. I mean, if you're not looking at any of the VIP packages, that is.

EDIT: The Green Day tickets at the same venue here are a lot cheaper, though. They range $27.50 to $52 with fees, depending on where you sit.

Not only that, but if you just go to the main ticketmaster page, a big Green Day ad is shown right away advertising their tour. Billy, playing arena shows, needed to advertise a bit more the tour on sites like that. Ticket sales would be much higher if more people fucking knew they were touring.

So, the Allstate - Chicago show is no longer listed on Ticketmaster, so sell-out right? 18,500 people.

Well, I found this to be interesting while checking Stub Hub prices for Allstate...

http://cache1.stubhubstatic.com/data/venue_maps/4861/stubhub_336890_AllstateArena_HalfHouseGAFl.png

I've never seen this image on a site before for a show at Allstate, or a show at Allstate/Rosemont (been to ~10 there) with this configuration.

So, 9,250?
Still pretty good since Congress, Auditorium, and Aragon Theaters range from 3,600-4,400.

Anyone get seats in the "shaded" area?

It's still listed on Ticketmaster, and I was just able to find a seat in section 112. Even if a show is sold out, Ticketmaster doesn't remove it from the site. You have to go through the whole process just to be told there are no seats left.
That same half-arena map is on the Tickemaster site now as well.
So now I'm closer to the stage which is cool, but at kind of a weird angle which I hope doesn't mess up the visuals.

Maybe Allstate is centre staged now. Haha, that would be awesome with the orb.

Hmmm...I guess I missed it. Anyway, I'm in 102, AA. Hope it's not too strange from that angle too.

Works out perfect for me. I'm in 114 row 4. My seats got a whole lot better.

Isn't this bad news? I mean they basically cut down the capacity by 50% right?

I really didn't think they would sell out anyway. Add in the fact I hear little to no promotion. It's dissapointing, but I am not surprised.

There was quite a bit of promotion, surprisingly, on the Score670. The Score was giving away tickets prior to the General Public Sale, but it's been a couple of weeks.

Ok, it seems you are pretty off here on what I was getting at.

When I said centre staged, I meant where the audience is around the entire stage 360 degrees. That is what centre staged means. I was joking when I said that. I thought it was obvious but I guess I was wrong.

Yes, moving the stage up for an END STAGE CONCERT is bad news because it reduces the number of seats available. However, not by half. It would only be reduced by half if it was a centre stage concert where every seat in the arena would be used. On what was an already end stage concert, it would only reduce it a few thousand since the seats behind the stage are not used either way. Can you visualize that?

But although it is bad news as far as ticket sales, it is good news for the people going to the show as they all have better seats now.

I was at the United Palace Theare show in 2008 and that venue seats 3,000 people, and I can tell you that wasn't sold out. I know karma around the band is better right now, but I just dont see how anyone can honestly believe that they could get 10k more people to show up to this show in NYC than any of there other recent shows at T5 or United Palace.

If you are a fan, be happy for what it is. This tour they have been getting great crowds. I think they waited to see if they could fill the arenas they just played at in Australia and Manila. Since they did that, ofcourse they are gonna play at arenas in the states.

why are people concerned if a show is a sell out? are you afraid the Pumpkins are going to cancel the show because it doesn't sell out?

Yes Monte...yes I am. See Vancouver.

Just bought my ticket for the San Diego show. Didn't know if I was going or not, but it was a close call. It's been five years since I've seen the band live so it's well overdue.

Why should he? It's all subjective. Personally I'd rather hear SFAS than either of those..

I'm curious to hear SFAS in a way that makes me forget the recorded version of it which I wasn't a big fan of. I'd rather hear songs that I never counted as my favorites being played in a way that makes me appreciate them better than rather my favorite songs the same way as I've heard them before.
Surprised over a different version of a song I never liked > The same version of a favorite.

So the big point of this tour is that they're playing Oceania all the way through. I'm hoping it gives me new appreciation for the record. Are there any songs that really surprised you live? I'm very interested to hear Glissandra live.

IMO, the entire record sounded better live. Glissandra and One Diamond, One Heart in particular. Already loved them on the record, but they both translated live very well.

I'm excited to hear Pale Horse live, but I'm hoping that hearing the rest of the songs live will help me appreciate them more, since I'm kind of apathetic about most of the record.

Agreed; although I don't believe it's good enough to warrant playing it in its entirety. I certainly respect Corgan's refusal to become a legacy band, but wish more rarities were on the set in place of some of the filler on the album.
