I'm not promoting the GATMOG videos here, but I always liked the cartoon version of In My Body more than the one on Friends & Enemies.

The first time I heard Speed Kills it was as the b-side on the Stand Inside Your Love single and I wondered why he didn't put that on the album. I still wonder. I think most people know the Machina II version and I think this one is SO MUCH BETTER.

Are you referring to the second of the three songs poster here (my assumption)
or the second video in the series of gatmog cartoons?
It's hard to find original stuff, since every Billy Corgan song has been posted before, like the studio version of spilled milk or Black Oblivion, but those two are SO GREAT... They should be on the same album, and they should have videos! :p/>

3rd one is alright...still better then the 1st video...that was just awful.

Ugly was an album song before they decided to cut Mellon Collie down from 31 to 28 songs. They tried about four versions before settling down on one. I still regret this became 'just' a b-side. Billy said that he really liked the version of him and a distorted guitar. :)/>

yep, I've always preferred that version of speed kills, totally awesome (nice band pic used on that youtube vid as well).

I'd like to hear a faster version of ugly with some more guitars like the Beautiful One demo.

Never heard that Chicago Code theme before...man that is repetitive!

That's because they extended it. This is the actual version it's just an opening for a show called CHICAGO CODE, and I think it's cool. But hey, if you hadn't ever heard it before I reached my goal. :)/>

Actually, I kinda enjoy that song / opening for the show...I hope that there is more to that song and it shows up someplace be it at a live show, b-side to a single or god forbid on Oceania.

Am I a horrible person for not liking what Uli has done to gossamer in that version? His solo during the breakdown was pretty sick, though...

yes

the only thing to ever dislike about any Gossamer songs is..they shortened them up, but the songs still owns even when ending at 20 minutes.

Don't get me wrong. I love gossamer and I agree that the longer, the better. I just don't think Uli's contribution during the structured, more song-like parts of gossamer are that good or interesting.

From 2.30 to 3.12 he shits all over the song. It sounds like a kid trying to play along on his first guitar (about a day after he got it).

I'm sure Uli is more than capable. It just sounds like he's only heard the song before and never really rehearsed w/ the band before that show. It could have been killer w/ a little more preparation.
