Goodness no! :lol:/>

Songs like Porcelina and Bodies jump to mind when being songs about Courtney.

hmmm no. Porcelina is too pretty for an obsessive, hate sex filled affair. Bodies is something you write about the girl you've cheated on, not the girl you cheated with. Try XYU and Where Boys Fear to Tread. Although, I could buy Court's story that Billy stole the "Love is suicide" line from her. That line is pure Clove.

woah. Back it up, ladies. I don't advocate aimless flings with drug addicts and sociopaths like our friend Courtney. As for std's, proper protection is readily available. For the record, I've indulged in crazy just once. But I did find the old maxim to be true. Your mileage may vary, of course. Still, I think it's worth a try. Just don't make Bill's mistake and become "involved" Crazies are for entertainment purposes only. And, yk, you might learn something. ;)/>

See claims to be making all kinds of money herself in that video. If she's so concerned about Kurt's family, why doesn't she help them out? They aren't Dave's family. He could help them out if he so chose, but it doesn't make him a bad person if he doesn't. They aren't his family. Courtney had her mansion (and may still, I really don't know). I don't see how she was struggling to put food on the table for Frances, or was unable to help her in-laws out because of Dave. And while Dave may be making money off of Nirvana, the last I was aware, him and Krist both shared 3%, with Courtney/ the record label splitting the other 97%. It makes absolutely 0 sense.

Mmmmm. My understanding was that as per the band's contract with Geffin, the band's royalties was sifted through Nirvana Ltd, who then split everything three ways: to Grohl, Novoselic and (the) Cobain (Estate). This is what Love was trying to legally dissolve a few years back so she could renegotiate that 33% up to whatever, and I thought she was unable to dissolve it through due process. (Correct me if I'm wrong here!)

Publishing royalties is another story, as she'd get 100% of that. EXCEPT for Smells Like Teen Spirit, which is credited to all three members, so again she splits that three ways (unless it was predetermined when it was licensed that 50% went to Cobain and the other two got 25%, or if they each just split it 33%. I can imagine, at the time, them saying "Fuck it, let's just all share the credit for this so we all get money).

EDIT:
I'm slightly wrong here...
In 1997, Novoselic, Grohl, and Courtney Love formed the limited liability corporation Nirvana LLC to oversee all Nirvana-related projects.[69] A 45-track box set of Nirvana rarities was scheduled for release in October 2001.[70] However, shortly before the release date, Love filed a suit to dissolve Nirvana LLC, and an injunction was issued preventing the release of any new Nirvana material until the case was resolved.[71] Love contended that Cobain was the band, that Grohl and Novoselic were sidemen, and that she signed the partnership agreement originally under bad advice. Grohl and Novoselic countersued, asking the court to remove Love from the partnership and to replace her with another representative of Cobain's estate.[70]

The day before the case was set to go to trial in October 2001, Love, Novoselic, and Grohl announced that they had reached a settlement. The settlement paved the way for the release of the compilation album Nirvana, which featured the previously unreleased track "You Know You're Right", the last song Nirvana recorded before Cobain's death.[72] Nirvana was released later that month, debuting at number three on the Billboard album chart.[73] The box set, With the Lights Out, was finally released in November 2004. The release contained a vast array of early Cobain demos, rough rehearsal recordings, and live tracks recorded throughout the band's history. Sliver: The Best of the Box, which culled 19 tracks from the box set in addition to featuring three previously unreleased tracks, was released in late 2005.[74]

In April 2006, Love announced that she had arranged to sell 25 percent of her stake in the Nirvana song catalog in a deal estimated at $50 million. The share of Nirvana's publishing was purchased by Primary Wave Music, which was founded by Larry Mestel, a former CEO of Virgin Records.

I believe it was a banner Courtney had up in a Hole video. 1994 I believe. Unless Corgan had just written it and Courtney immediately decided to use it.

That's crazy. Also, court said Bill was a great fuck in NME or MM, I've forgotten, back in 1994. I personally find that hard to believe, but maybe the crazy rule holds even in his case.

And it was hardly more than a year ago she claimed Frances had been manipulated into buying Kurt's mom and sister new homes. hmm

Dave's been remarkably restrained considering all the grief Court's given him over the years. I wished I liked his music better.

It was the 94 Miss World video. The banner read "Cleanliness is next to Godliness." Common adage. On the other hand, Court admitted Violet's "when they get what they want ..." was stolen from a letter Billy wrote to her. So I guess it all evens out in the end.
