$45 -3 cd's

no vinyl yet though - 3rd cd must be the dvd

Can only really see myself being interested in this if its on vinyl, or a vinyl / cd combination.

$45 is not cheap for a album i have owned for over 15 years already.

What did people think 2 CDs and a DVD in a limited packaging were going to cost? Be grateful we're finally getting it at all and it's not costing us Nirvana prices.

$50 shipping? ...the fuck?!
I won't be buying any of these remasters until I'm sure it's not a "make everything louder" remaster.
No way I'll pay that for shipping though, regardless of quality.

Those are just the regular album reviews that Amazon attached to it from Gish's original listing. Hence the review dates as "1998" and "2004".

Just want to clarify...

Wasn't so much complaining that he price for the re-issue is $45, as i have alot of faith that the packaging, linear notes. DVD & B-Side collection will be full of content, I don't think we can ever complain about the content of things like this Billy has offered us in the past ( MAYBE Teargarden EP 1 the only debatable one there ).

It's more the fact that CD to me is a pointless format. I don't listen to anything on CD anymore - it's either the IPOD hooked through my system or Vinyl.

I will may $45 for the vinyl version of this... even if it is only Siamese Dream on the vinyl and the B-side on CD. Infact I would pay up to $60 for such a package - i just see CD as a dead format these days.

I just got an email from amazon.com saying "Siamese Dream is now available for pre-order". Nowhere does it mention it being a reissue, so if you're not following the band, this email is going to be a major WTF.
The cost by the is $14.83. Not sure what version this is advertising.

They just dropped the price on both reissues, but I'm going to wait for more info & a release date to be uploaded on the site before I order.

Edit: a few minutes of staring at the picture and I pulled the trigger. Can't see something like this happen to my fav album and pass on it. Plus I saved like $12 buying from amazon and got free shipping.

Gunna have to wait a week to snag gish now. I apologuise for being do pecimistic about these, I had no idea they were going to be this beautiful.

I still feel the full $45 is not worth it, but these amazon prices are lookin good right now.
