Well what's so important about that? Well it was mine and i had uploaded 850+ SP\BC\Related videos over the last few months, including 20 full length shows and crapload of other stuff. Plus i was planning to upload a crapload more. I'm posting this news here as it had many subscribers, i can only say what happened was my own fault really, the first two strikes i hold my hands upto but the Storytellers video is what kicked the channels bucket in the end.

I've started anew: http://www.youtube.c...shingPumpkinsUK

60+ things queued so far, full length shows won't happen until i get the 15+ minutes option back but i'll do what i can, just trying to throw easily accessible content up first. Just thought i'd give people a heads up. If this is the wrong place to post this then feel free to move it, if no one gives a shit then feel free to ignore it.

The first two strikes were for James Iha B-sides, since they re-issued Let It Come Down in Japan, the record company there suddenly wielded their iron fists at me. The 3rd one was from Viacom International over the full length Storytellers video. Youtube has a three strikes and you're out rule. I have to start all over again, a bit of a pain in the ass but it's do-able. Plus now i know what i'm doing and I have more plans I think uploads will come more often, my original DVD ripping software, which made things very painless, registration ran out a few weeks ago so i'll have to renew it soon. Plus with uploads i can give a bit more detail instead of random bursts here and there. Just uploaded a good chunk of The Marked files.

To Monte, it was indeed myself. If i do re-upload the SITS shows, i'll only do the individual tracks and put a link to your channel with full credits to you. I kinda took it as red that people knew none of the material on the channel wasn't mine but i should give more credit when it comes to knowing the original people who recorded shows and got material out there.

The old channel was never meant to take off like it did, it just started out as uploaded all the TFE footage i had, then went onto The Marked songs and then i just carried on. At least this time it's a fresh start.

Well i could upload porn, but nothing tops witnessing the Sesame Street youtube channel getting hacked and seeing porn films mixed with Big Bird and The Count. Plus i've made it a point now to stick with non-commercial demos and live material. Adore and Machina footage will be a little tricky as most of the video rips are TV rips. I'll upload what i can, but unfortunately Storytellers is off the list.

Edit: Spelling, i hate typing on laptops!

I've signed up on your new youtube channel. I liked the obscure recordings of the previous one (loved the Marked ones for instance). Thanks again for the hours spent in uploading this material and more generally for your dedication. A flower for you. :flowers:/>

That sucks man - definitely one of my biggest fears as I have over a lot of time invested in youtube projects.

I've added you as a "Recommended channel" on 'DrCopperpot' (my SP/Alt channel) so from now on when new people subscribe to me they get a query asking if they'd also like to subscribe to you. It'll only help going forward but I do get some traffic....

I prefer the new name btw :)/> Wish I could change mine lol....

I thought this would be long buried, thanks for the support guys. Slowly working on getting all the demo\non-commercial studio back up. Slowly working on video uploads too. In 6 weeks i've managed to upload 1,300+ videos, uploading a random audio show every day, uploaded all i can demo\studio wise and upto Adore. 11 full length video concerts are up from 1991 and 1992. Dozens more are on the list, i'll be chopping up and uploading the individual song footage from 1992-07-23 tomorrow.

I tried subscribing to your channel a few weeks back Copperpot but it's not letting me for some reason, i try every now and again but it still won't let me even now but i've worked out how to add featured channels on the channel page so i hope that's something for now.

Next weeks audio show uploads are all requests from a facebook group, planning a week of soundboard audio shows probably next month. I might work on doing something in the forums in the future. We'll see, still tons to do, i've already uploaded a load of GATMOG trailers and teasers, some of the old sp.com flash with more to come. I've got a stack of discs i've not even checked through yet. Never a dull moment and there's no signs of slowing down just yet.

Todays random audio show upload:

yeah they forked with mine over the VH1 storytellers last year. but got to keep the account and stuff.

pissed lately as their upload page says I can still do videos over 15 mins but once completed they get blocked for being too long. stupid youtube. if i were a suit running content_id for that stuff i'd let it fly and collect the add revenue. viacom are stupid though.

also i noticed their system goes off how many matches you have. i had deleted some matches that weren't so important and had the account go into good standing instantly.

Unfortunately i lost everything, they took my account away and uploads, it really did suck at the time but i look back now and think a fresh start has been good. I'm going to have to be careful with Adore and Machina video shows as most of what's around are PRO shot for TV, but i see a lot of the footage still up that's been around for years so i'm hoping Storytellers was just an anomaly.

The matches are inconsistant, on my old account i uploaded the Adore documentary, someone contacted me shortly after saying they tried to upload it a week before but it was blocked. I had that the old "you can upload longer than 15 mins... jk" on my old account after a strike. The best thing to do is check your account info as it'll say in there, i don't know how long it takes after a strike to get your 15 minutes back. There's been bugs with youtubes uploading system, a new version of it emerged a few days ago, i had to use the old uploading system for a couple of weeks just to get anything up.

yeah that new system is buggy and can start to slow down the uploads as well too.

I think the best bet is if you see someone else with a good copy of something up let them be the persons "hosting" that video and don't double up, as often someone's already taken the strike for it, and you can focus than on other videos to get your strikes with. i think its inevitable there will be content id matches. false ones too. i have don henleys boys of summer trying to take credit for an entire zwan show due to endless summer being one of the songs. I noticed Tonight, Tonight almost always garners a content_id match. I think it might be the most protected S.P. song.

I know my account has alot of strikes from Machina era SP shows, but I took those hits already so others don't have to. I'd say if we get to a point where we have all sorta been blocked or shut down, or close to it, we should teach some others here the process and get a few more decent uploaders going before our existing accounts go "too far" and are bahleted like your other. takes some time to get the over 15 min allowed, so good for people to get the ball rolling uploading some stuff, and once the limit is lifted be ready to blast out some uploads.

I've find with the strikes i've had in the past the video has been removed too. I got two strikes for uploading James Iha b-sides on my last account. Now James has signed upto the Japanese wing of EMI they've used the copyrights big time, there used to be studio uploads of James first album everywhere aswell as the b-sides and now it's practically nil. It was the Japanese division that swung the hammer at me, before then they were untouched for months. A strike means the video goes down and you get a slap on the wrist. 15 minute uploads are enabled for me, i managed to unlock it after a few uploads, even though i used the same phone number from my last account but a different email address. I'll do what i can, when i get to the Adore era video shows i will start being a little bit more careful.

You're very welcome, they aren't lossy but i guess it's better than nothing.
