Let us discuss the anticipation of the show, and reminisce about the show last year at the same venue.

Any plans? Hopes? How early do you plan on getting there, etc, etc.

I loved the show last year. Energy was great. Greatest hits set unfortunately, but Billy was so into it that I didn't care. I missed hearing Eye the tour before, so it didn't bother me none. Plus Hummer, As Rome Burns, etc.

I'm dragging my girlfriend, as she is the only one left who will see them with me. In other words, she is the only one who can put up with Billy's antics and 'jams'.

Pumped.

For anyone who has never been there before, it is all floor, with 2nd and 3rd floor balconies. Seats on the balconies, I believe.

i got tickets for this show today. Hopefully I have no exams that week. Philly is kinda far for me to go during school, even if its on a saturday and I love that theater, who knows I could have exams that week too. Excited for the show!

I think i definately want to be upstairs this time.

Not sure when it occurred, but it looks like NYC is officially sold out. That was quick...ish.

That's key at a Terminal 5 show. just as a word of advice to anyone attending this show- get there early and be sure to have a spot close to the stage...

otherwise expect terrible sound and sightlines

Me! Anyone know how they decided who to email about the meetup? I didn't get one yet. Is it because I RSVP'd as maybe?? I'd love to go... http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/board_new/public/style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif

Going with my gf. She went with me last year to the Terminal 5 show. She got her singles setlist then. I told her to prep herself for an obscure setlist this time, and I'm glad I did. If the setlist remains the same for the whole tour, then her face (as well as mine) is about to be melted.

I thought the meetup time was 430. That might just be speculation, though. On Facebook.

A bunch of people RSVP'd and haven't gotten an email. I was also wondering how they choose people for the list. Is it only for the people on FB or is it for the people who signed up for SPRC?? I want to go and I have no idea how... http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/board_new/public/style_emoticons/default/whattodo.gif

As far as I know, the fan meet-ups were set up via Facebook. In order to keep the whole thing doable and not too packed, I think they're going for about 30 people per city. In order to get in, you needed to RSVP before Oct 1st. From there, if a city was over 30, a number of those people received emails. Whether it was on a first come first serve basis, or a random draw amongst people who RSVPed, I dunno. Either way, if you didn't get an email, you won't be on the list, and won't be let in. They are, unfortunately, being quite strict about this. People who are on the list can bring a +1, but even then, if they didn't list or ask for a +1 when the list was made, they can't add that person now.
The other option is to have a fan meet up in line! I know of 3 lovely moderators who will be there. Oy oy!

So, has anyone received an email about the meetup? I asked about it on twitter and the guy said they were sent and the list was handled from facebook. A tiny bit confusing to me O.o

Anyway, if you see me, I'll be wearing a home-made Scott Pilgrim SP heart shirt. :D/>

I may just wear one of my everyday shirts, although I am between the following three for the show:

-White Crosses Tee
-Black Sunshine Tee
-Adore Goat Tee

I'll be wearing one of those. And, I'll be the dashing gentleman there. :lol:/>

Fanciful Safari? Oh my....now thats a term for it. My gf has that one, but she isn't gonna wear it (she has no SP pride I guess). I also have two Machina tees (cross one, and the Machina II one with the two...little cartoon character things), an old Zero, a new Zero, a MCIS tee and the blue Teargarden one.

I'll probably go with one of the 20th Anniversary ones (Black Sunshine or White Crosses). I love those shirts. Look so cool...and took me so long to find them. :p/>

Look for a tall glasses-wearing douche in the Kali shirt from last year's tour. That will be me. I'll probably with my Trinidadian broski.

I lucked out and snagged one of each back when they had limited back stock at the webstore. Got a medium of the Black Sunshine and a small of the White Crosses. They popped up outta nowhere in like 2009 or so. The men's sold out near instantly, and they had women's up until they recently changed the webstore. I find it odd that those shirts are so scarce, yet all the other 20th Anniversary Tour merch is so common that you could make wallpaper out of it. Sorry that's not much help... :confused:/>

Believe me, I've been watching eBay like a hawk for certain shirts for the past 6 years or so. I finally snagged the Machina Cross tee and Adore Goat tee this year in a medium, mint condition. Took years before I saw them in that size & condition (let alone cheap). Still have yet to see the Disarm Smile shirt, World Is A Vampire shirt, or Infinite Sadness Tour Heart shirt (with the tracklisting on back) in a medium. Its like the most popular size, unfortunately.

All I can say is keep looking. Eventually, one will pop in. Just check in often on a site like eBay. If you are a large over a medium, then you'll probably have a better chance of finding one. For some reason, I see XL & L sizes more than anything. :)/>

A quick Google search may even wield better results. I just did one, and this was listed first. Already ended, and not your size, but certainly the first I've seen it on eBay. Keep your eyes peeled. :thumbsup:/>

Actually I was watching Ebay and the official merch store like a hawk for most of 2008 and a good portion of 2009 for them. I guess I'm just bad at finding things http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/board_new/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

Because I know you are all so concerned about the health and well-being of your mods + admins, I thought Id update all of you by saying that I had a successful sleep on a bench in Seattle's airport and am less than 2 hours away from catching my flight to NYC. Ready to rock? Oh ya.

The Internet Archive website that has Pumpkin shows from various dates...has anyone ever had problems using this site (I have not used it yet), i.e. do you tend to get a ton of virus and the like ~ or is a pretty clean site?
