Aeroplane Flies High Box Question

I email the guy and he says apparenly they made 2 different copies of this cd...one has only 2 songs, the other has 7. He is nice enough to order the CD and send it to me. It finally comes today, and again only 2 songs. Are there hidden tracks and I am just too stupid to find them, or are their legitimately 2 copies and he just sent me the wrong one twice? Thanks for the help.

yep i doubt the guy is deliberately trying to pull one on you as that would be pointless.

If he picked it up elsewhere then it probably isn't his fault in some ways, but having 4 full sized jewel cased EP's and 1 slimline would of made me wonder, it's probably why he sold it on and is being so helpful as he's been rumbled. I wouldn't hold up too much hope in finding a BWBW replacement on ebay, as i said, the 7 track BWBW was only available with the boxset. One in a blue moon i see empty TAFH boxes being sold and even less the actual EP's from the disc. You see the official release EP's being sold all the time.
Do me a favour, check the other 4 discs for me and tell me if they have barcodes please.

Ill check out the barcodes when I get home, currently at work. Didnt notice anything weird about the jewel cases.
For your first point however, all the Jewel cases were normal size. Even the Bullet CD that was only 2 songs came in the normal size jewel case with all the full artwork, and the back of the CD has all 7 songs listed, so it appears that the CD was supposed to be the one with all 7 songs, but somehow I got just the CD with the bullet single and said sadly.

When you mentioned their being only two tracks, I immediately knew it wasn't the box set version of the BWBW single, as others have pointed out. And if there was no box, that'd clinch it. But if there wasn't, I'd think that'd be a pretty big issue to you, and you'd mention it. But just making sure.

It's odd that you have the case for it and the wrong CD :scatch:/>
If any of the other 4 CD's have barcodes then they aren't the original disc. Just trying to ascertain the damage that's all.
hotoriousDICK has a good point, if you're not too fussed about it then it's easy enough to get ahold of the tracks. I'm just looking at this from a collectors point of view that's all

I dont see any barcodes that I can tell. Im guessing you mean on the jewel cases. Yes, I got the box and the lyrics book. All 5 CDs are regular size jewel cases, that come with what appears to be the original inserts and stuff but seeing as its the first time I am seeing the box set cause I never owned it before I guess I couldnt know for sure. The back of the bullet jewelcase artwork has a Rocket under 2 rainbows and a bunch of kids in some for of orchestra on the back. While I am not a collector I do have almost every CD SP has put out. It would be nice to have the complete right set, but having 1 CD be off when I can still get the right 5 songs somewhere, doesnt seem to make sense for me to send it back for a refund of 20$ when I know most places I could buy the box would cost me at least 5-10$ more, and whos to say for sure that I would get anything more right from those people.

And this is one of the spfreaks.com entries about the box set as a whole:

To check if you received a proper box set, or if one or more items have been replaced with the cd single that was sold separately, you should compare your inserts and cds with the scans on spfreaks.com.
As mentioned before, the artwork from the box set singles does not contain any barcodes. Also, cds from the box set will have a single page insert (all the info is in the box set booklet). For other possible differences, you'll have to have a closer look yourself.
To check if a cd has been replaced, compare the release code present on the cd. If the code contains "V25F", then it's definitely not a cd that was originally released in the box set. But you should compare the codes on your cd with the codes on the scans to be certain. And if you want to be really certain, compare the matrix code. This is the code on the back of the cd, near the hole in the centre.
Obviously a cd that has got only two tracks instead of seven is not going to be an original box set cd. But maybe other items of your box set have been replaced. So check away!
If they don't match the items on spfreaks.com, it is most likely that they've been replaced with American cd singles, as cd single releases from other countries were mostly released in a thinner case. Another option is though that they didn't replace the case or the artwork, but replaced only the cd.
For your information, these are the American cd singles:

get a refund and a new box set. or look for the bwbw disc separately.
or if you're into this - but somehow i doubt this will do it for you - download the missing tracks.
the end.

it's not really that bad an idea...$20 is a good price and he wasn't totally stiffed...so sending it back seems like a waste of time. Downloading (for free) until he finds a replacement option is the easiest way to go but finding the 7 disc on its tod may be difficult. but yeah you were given te wrong disc in the right box. somebody either rolled over the original or decided to keep it for themseleves -- unlikely to be a manufacturing/retail mistake.
