The riff almost sounds like something out of pistachio medley. Also I don't understand why it's tagged as explicit when it's mostly instrumental and the only vox I heard contained no profanity.

right on.

but for future reference, the very front page when you type in smashingpumpkins.com is the SPRC page.

that big picture on the front page, the images there will be where they will hide these new SPRC songs.

one of the little speakers, and the rat at the bottom are both links so far.

I'm very happy Barb/ Tulips is a different version from the QAOS take. Though, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing a cleaner version of QAOS show up in the Record Club down the line...

I am very happy to hear this, and learning that SPRC will not be just some words and an aborted project. It's also cool that there was not so much time between those releases... I just want more more more ! Thanks Billy !

Also, because this year will be celebrating Gish/Siamese/PI, that would be cool if the SPRC would cover other SP eras...

yeah, this.

whoever decided to put that parental advisory on there made it look all pixaleted and lame, it's pointless.

the one on the back looks just as bad.

also, the falsified virgin and hut logos.

i do not approve.

i edited out the parental advisory in photoshop and the cover looks great now.

not a bad choice in image for cover art, and the font is fine, but that nasty PA ruins it.

That was a fun listen . . . lovely to hear that early crunch again. Wonder if there are any fully realized songs out there that sound like this. Hope so!

No pretentiousness or gullibility, sir. Just Garageband. Tasty, tasty Garageband. That, and the lack of viruses is a plus.

Too true. The higher price tag is easily worth it. For every 1 mac I've gone through, my family's gone through 3-4 PCs.
For anything media related (audio/ video recording/ editing) there's nothing the PC can do that comes remotely close.

Yes, but I'm just hoping that every SPRC release from now on isn't going to be in this bullshit Mac-exclusive format. I don't mind converting one song, but it's going to get annoying really fast if I have to do it with each and every one.

Garageband is really overrated from what I hear. I have 3 friends who are musicians who refuse to use anything but Macs, and all of them have told me that Garageband is just a little bullshit novelty recording program, and they can't do any serious production in it. One of them uses Ableton, one uses Pro Tools, and one uses Reaper, which is what I use.

Also, the whole virus thing is fear marketing nonsense. I've always used Windows, and I have not had a single virus in over 10 years. Not one, and it is only once in a blue moon I run into any adware, and that takes no effort at all to get rid of.

I have itunes on a pc and it's never been a problem. I never buy anything from the itunes store. I even have the store blocked with parental controls. I disable it from doing anything automatically. No genius, no Ping, no bullshit. I just click on add folder or file to library and put in my mp3s. Works like a charm. I didn't register my ipod or register my itunes account or anything. It always tries to install shit I don't need though like "bonjour" for windows which I don't need because I don't use an iphone or an ipod touch or any of the things bonjour is for. Quicktime always puts something called qttask.exe to run at startup whenever you update it. That's pretty annoying but whenever I update quicktime or itunes, I check my startup programs and disable anything that they put in there to run automatically. I also don't use itunes as my default media player. Just open it when you need it and be careful about updating it because it will add processes that will run in the background and slow your pc down. You can open your task manager and end any processes by apple/itunes/quicktime when you aren't using it. It's not really a big deal to run the program and alot easier than worrying about how you are gonna play any apple lossless files from SPRC.
