Really good song, one of my favorite pre-Gish ones and definetly my favorite on the Pisces cassette. Still waiting on my copy of the boxset to see the dvd though, but i'm wondering what the deal with this performance is.
Where and when was this performed? Is it the only known recording apart from the version on the DVD release?

this is what spfc.org says: http://www.spfc.org/...html?song_id=91
that might indeed be the only known recording apart from the dvd release. that is, "known" as in "out there". the performance in this clip might not even be listed on spfc.org.
the fact that spfc.org has setlists of those other shows indicates that a recording has been found in the archives. so there are actually more live recordings of jennifer ever, but they're not available.
that youtube clip is what it says it is: "Smashing Pumpkins. Jennifer Ever. 1988 soundcheck. psycho tape. yes"

Thanks for the info, early SP recordings always make me curious and the fact i couldn't seem to find this on SPFC or the SPLRA led me to asking. I'm interested if there's more recordings from this session... possible archive release? Now i'm gonna try and find the Psycho tape (if its worth it)
