it's not just someone that looks at your profile right? cause i have a ton of profile views, but very few visitors.

Those are unregistered guests who click on your profile. If you look at the bottom of the "forums" section, you'll see the number of gueste viewing the portal at any given time, for instance, right now there are 61 guests. Those guests account for your profile views.

When someone who has an account here, and is logged-in, and clicks on your profile, that accounts for a visitor. To demonstrate this I'm going to click on your profile and later you'll see my username in your list of visitors.

On the other hand, people who are logged-in anonymously, who click on your profile, may be accounted as 'profile views' and not as visitors I believe.

Not so weird, I think of social situations where probably you want to avoid someone, co-worker or friend, for whatever reason, you wish you had such anonimity.

Also, I just realised that there could be another source of profile views: your own clicks. I mean, when I click on my own profile, that increases the number of views but not the visitors' counter.

So profile views = guests + anonymous users + own page views.

I've been on other forums where you need to be a member to view other users' profiles, not the case here.

i meant weird in the sense that i have around 670 profile views, and maybe 30 something visitors all time. the disparity seems strange, but i think you're totally right.

I think the visitors just displays the last 15 or so people who have clicked on your profile?
I'm not sure though.

actually you can select the number of visitors that you want to display. Mine it set at 0 but you can set it up to 10 I think.
