The Record Deal Doesn't Cover Canada, Brazil, Or Australia For The Oceania Release? WTF?

Anyone know what the plan is for us? I'm from Australia, do I have to import?
Forgive me if this has already been addressed, been out of the loop the last couple of weeks.
Anyway, the press release as per March 27th:
"Today, EMI has announced that the Smashing Pumpkins are set to release their first album since 2007's Zeitgeist. The record, titled Oceania and produced by Billy Corgan, will be out June 18.
Oceania is part of the band's in-progress undertaking, Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, a 44-song opus launched in 2009. The new record will be released under an agreement between EMI and Corgan's label Martha's Music, which excludes Canada, Brazil, and Australia."
Little help? :scatch:/>

I will see what I can find out about BR and AUS..
this is a known issue since the press release.
the key thing is to stay calm.. those two markets are too big for SP to pass up.

I was going to post that, but you beat me to it. I figured they must be working something out for those countries.
Any idea why EMI is being used for most countries but not the others? I mean, they went with Universal in Canada but there is an EMI Music Canada.

Shit, I bet that was life or death stuff. God.. having to wait 2 weeks for something that has very little bearing on your life? Gah, what torture!
Just do like the rest of us and admit that sometimes you're just a dirty pirate.
If the Oceania release is anything like the Zeitgeist release, it'll save me money just to order it from the US anyway. The FET ("Fuck Europeans Tax") on top of the 20% VAT makes Importing it far cheaper. This is also the reason I never bought Zeitgeist. I imagine that Brazilians have a similar tax to FET's. FBT's? Australasia has its own kind of FAT's. Kind of ironic that Oceania will be the geographical area that will have to pay the most for the album.

My guess it has to do with revenue sharing.

Yeah! I live in her city, it's kinda lame.
But really, it would be incredibly stupid not to have it released here, it'll happen somehow.
