They sure are and magical too. ♥
I wonder how well this song would do if it came out today?

The first one I heard was Cherub Rock, so I'd probably say that one.

Not a SINGLE one of the singles got me into SP, I'm sad to say: I had to listen to entire album.

Mayonaise, probably in 1999 or 2000. A friend in high school got me interested in them. I had already heard 1979, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, and Today I think, but it was after I bought Siamese Dream that I really made the connection. And of course, the video for Tonight, Tonight.

New Years Eve 1994.
I was allowed to stay out for the night at a friend's house for the first time. A neighbour kid was there as well, who was proudly showing off his siamese dream guitar tab book. That was actually a big deal, this boy was only 11 and his oldest brother had sent it to him from South Africa.
The boy who had invited me (my first crush) had learned to play disarm the same afternoon. There I was, 12 years old, out of my mind in love. I couldn't believe how lucky I was to spend NYE with 4 boys in a cramped room, all looking at this tab book, (and me looking at them). I'd never heard smashing pumpkins before, and then he played disarm.
So my first acoustic impression of SP was a 12 year old boy playing disarm on his guitar. Right then I felt it was the best night of my life.

Bullet with Butterfly Wings. Heard it and sought it out immediately, which is where I found MCIS.

It wasn't a song.I was in a record shop and Siamese Dream had just come out. I saw the cover while browsing and thought that it looked interesting.

Kind of cliche, but Bullet With Butterfly Wings on MTV in 1996. It was all over after that.

If I had to pick one song, it would be Luna, but I actually was hanging out with friends and my friend put on Siamese Dream while we were playing Risk a couple years ago. I've been hooked ever since.
