a rough estimate, generally accepted by the specialists, is 1991-2000.

Blissed has pretty much been pegged as being from Gish to Mellon Collie (largely on the basis that it sounds a good deal like Meldori Magpie, which was first Doorstep in the Siamese Era). I like Blissed a lot--just got my flexi yesterday :)/> Major kudos to the SPRC for getting this together. If this is indicative of the quality and speed of releases we can expect from the SPRC, color me excitted.

I'm guessing the song is Siamese-era. It sounds like it came right off of Pisces. Maybe it'll be on the Pisces reissue? That would make a lot of sense in this particular context. "Sorry about the first and second reissues being late, so here's an early piece from the third reissue."

being unaware of an event or announcement, especially a very recent and not widely-reported one, doesn't suggest anything akin to being "dumb."

try again, troll.

You do realize it was slightly over 5 months from 'omg you guys are getting gifts' to 'omg here are your supa seeecret gifffffs', with absolutely no band/fan contact in between.... right? and then some people got 2 mailed to them? and some people who didn't 'deserve' gifts got to claim them as well?

This gift may be cool, but it was definitely not speedy, nor was it carried out with any sort of competence at all. :D/>

but hey, it's topspin. i'm just glad they managed to pull their shit together for 5 minutes.

Yeah, but there was time and energy spent determining what the item was to be, and probably negotiations with TopSpin. I figure something that has already been determined, say a edited recording session double disc (or whathaveyou), put out by another company, and where you actually had to pay to recieve the item, a lot of the problems would have been avoided...maybe I'm being silly, and reading too much into it. But at least it actually HAPPENED. And the gift was cool. Which is good enough for me at this point. :)/>

I got just back from one week of holidays and guess what was in the mailbox?
Yes the precious flexidisc!

Can't listen to it right now but it already looks pretty nice.
I must admit I was kind of surprised this arrived that quickly. One's never safe from good news! ;)/>

I can't believe those things are already sold on ebay by the way? I hope the seller had 2 copies of it otherwise: what an untroo fan!
Bram how did you manage to get one? ebay? Fantrade? Or had you secretly ordered from topspin last october? ;)/>

i just went to that link to apply for the flexi, entered my info, plus an order number from a digital download (not pre-ordered), and it worked. so i got one for free, and i don't have to go through the hassle of finding a copy on ebay, etc.

someone on here said that they entered "unknown" as order number and it also worked. so yeah, it doesn't look like they checked anything. if you had the link (you can google it), you could apply for a copy, it seems.

Because someone already posted a rip of it. I'm not gonna fiddle around with mine and potentially f*ck it up if I don't have to.

And... I don't own a record player.

Oh yeah, and here's the StArSeEd rip of the flexi; it's far superior to the others we have heard:

When I received my flexidisc a friend of mine ironically told me : "What a coincidence, it's totally your hair color...".
I said "no way" and took this "arty" picture to prove him wrong, but as you can see...

if anyone got doubles or doesn't want theres, i'm a huge SP vinyl collector and (as selfish as it sounds) totally deserved one of these.

i preordered from amazon the day they started the presale, which was close to week before sp.com put them up for sale.

had SP done it first i would have preordered from them.

i'm bummed i never got one and don't consider this a $75 to $100 song.

so i'm really looking for someone who is willing to sell for cheap, trade for something on my deadformat list, or maybe even be kind enough to gift a duplicate.

http://deadformat.ne...lmightyseancore if you want to trade.

thanks!
