I certainly do not know about "tons," but there is enough to put a few tracks we have not heard on the PI bonus disc; particularly considering that more hardcore fans will probably be buying a PI reissue than Gish or Siamese Dream.

I think it's funny it comes with a cassette including 6 demos. I have a cassette player, but how many people will actually be able to listen to the cassette. It will be my 1st and only cassette that I have ever owned. Cool collectors item I'm sure.

He also said MCIS will have 3 extra discs, that's 5 in all. That's crazy!!
And TAFH will have 2 extra, making a total of 7!

I may have to take a day off to listen to all that music. Haha.

I have a feeling it will be condensed, with the TAFH tracks spread over 2 discs, and having the bonus content be an additional 2 discs.

Any idea when this will be officially announced with specifics? Is it July 17 for sure?

it most likely will be after Oceania is out because you wouldn't want to cloud Oceania.
July 17th is solid. we should see a track listing soon. My understanding is all the maybes have turned into yes. The PI Reissue tracklist has been finalized for sometime now.

It always does. I remember the Gish/ SD sets came down at least $10 in price from when they were first listed till the day they came out. I wouldn't be too concerned with the price.

IDK why but I'm really excited about the tape. About twelve years ago when new music was still coming out in cassette form I was on a cassette tape kick - for one it was cheaper and two it had a nice archaic charm - not nearly as charming as collecting and playing vinyl but still charming.

Dropping the price seems like poor marketing. If I was a casual fan and went by an artist's page that was listing an album for $45, I wouldn't buy it and would most likely not go back. If it was 9.99 right off the bat, I might.

I might actually pick up the vinyl for this one. I always wanted a Pisces vinyl but it was always too expensive. It looks like they may be reusing the same artwork they did back in the old days. I wonder if the pics in the deluxe CD will include the cover art for the vinyl and the cassette as well. I don't imagine we will be getting a cassette version of the reissue though haha. Yes I know we are getting that Smashing Pumpkins demo tape in cassette form as an extra but that's different.
