just got home and listening to the usb drive from the show, and the quality is AMAZING! great job pumpkins!
note: the show is super "psychodelic" with the lights and graphics behind mike byrnes, which was great because me and my friend had a nice "roast" in my car before the show and i was feeling great...unfortunatly no munchies were available at the show!

Muzzle was the highlight for me..
And I cannot wait for "Oceania"
There was some dude by us that kept farting though.. wtf?
Some guy kept yelling "Pinwheels" lol
My gf only knew a few songs by the pumpkins and she had a good time..
I shoulda wore ear plugs cuz those guitars were loud as hell.. lol
Kept looking at the score of the tigers game and that 3rd inning never ended.. .sad at the outcome :(/>
oh well GREAT NIGHT...
I did not see any of the openers, but I listened to them on youtube early today..
Fancy Space people seemed lame as hell but I liked Light FM so I bought their new album.. anyway
Hope you all had a blast!
Gonna listen to my flash drive now..

Ohh wow, such a great story! :D/> If you are not too familiar with Smashing Pumpkins music, I have been doing a 'song of the week' and I have a youtube channel with some noteworthy SP videos.

There is a lot to go over, but feel free to message me if you ever have any questions about the band :)/>
Billy also did great solo work and when he was in the band Zwan!

great story. I envy you. The feeling of 'discovering' how majestic rock music can be must have felt incredible.
Other essential rock bands that a Pumpkins fan should be able to enjoy:
The Beatles (billy's favorite band) try Abbey Road
Bob Dylan (billy's second favorite and mine as well) Highway 61 Revisited
Led Zeppelin (bc loves this)
Nirvana - Nevermind (billy's big competition in the early days)
Explosions in the sky (opened for SP. All instrumental)- Earth is Not a Cold Place
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the moon (bc loves this)
Radiohead - The Bends/OK Computer
Soundgarden - Superunknown (SP competitor. They played shows together)
U2 - The Joshua Tree (one of billy's favorites)
The electric guitar is the greatest instrument ever created and rock and roll is a force of nature that propels me through life.

I was center stage, up front. About 8 to 10 feet from Billy. Were you up that close? If so, we must have been RaWKiNG out together. Good things!

Whoa, the starlight videos were awesome...the music, too! I am listening to the FullEmbrace short film as I type this.
The story isn't really complete. Tomorrow, the 17th, is my birthday and I have never had anything so fantastic ever happen to me. My mom and my best friend flew into town because of it. My cousins had a special dinner for my mom and me and it was a big thing...I ditched them, mom and friend and all to go to the show!!! Well, they were all so excited for me really, so it was okay. It was my cousin who made me talk to Billy...thank God for her! It truly was the coolest thing to happen to me and the coolest event ever in my life. I only regret not telling Billy it was a perfect birthday gift...I felt like a total dork as it was...I was a little embarrassed really. I wish he knew how blessed I felt. :-)
God, this video is awesome!

You are very welcome. These will give you a good overview of rock and roll from the 1960s till now and a sampling of the variety. I tried to keep the list close to SP or loved by Billy. But first and foremost you must get all the Pumpkin albums. Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness seems to capture everything I love about rock and roll (if a bit on the sadder/angrier side) and is my favorite album of all time.. If you really enjoyed the show you saw then I suggest getting Siamese Dream and Pisces Iscariot first. Those are the ones he playing a lot in this tour and are easier to absorb.

That show was the best I've seen SP in a long time. Totally glad I made the trek down from Toronto.
