I'll be there. I'll also be at the SPRC meetup. I was late in getting tix because I was in India when tickets went on sale. All things considered, I got a pretty good seat (second row of mezannine).

8 days to go!

There is this super cute curly haired girl who I met at the DC show who i'm meeting up with in Philly. She and one (maybe two?) other friends are going to the other easy coast stops. She said NYC and rhode isle were really good. They will be at the Boston and Philly shows too. You are not alone :-)

just got out of the sprc meetup. billy was there!
a couple points off the top of my head:
-he thinks releasing pastichio medley songs would not be worth the effort -not enough interest for the amount of work it would take to prepare them for release.
-releasing 5-6 hours of pre-gish stuff next year.
-someone from fancy space people designed artwork for this tour - didn't catch the name.
-wants to release residency and spun soundtrack eventually
-65 unreleased zwan songs

2 opening acts. Most of the shows pumpkins have taken the stage 2 and a half hours after door opens, though I don't know if they change that for a 6pm or 7pm start.

I know I am a newb as well, but when did people decide to stop using search functions before asking.

Yeah, they came on at around 830ish in NYC. Not bad at all.

So, having been to NYC, Providence and Boston, this show was far and away the best of the three. The NYC show was flawless, the Providence show had a few mistakes here and there but had a certain "all smiles" vibe, but tonight had the best of both worlds. Billy coming out to rip some guitar solos with FSP was pretty awesome. The "Fancy Space People's Overlord" came out for the last two songs of the FSP set and was wearing a pink cape and a big, messy, blonde wig that made him look like a certain Courtney. Coming out to do that most likely put him into a guitar-playing frenzy because he just went nuts especially during Soma and Siva. Billy's grin never left his face, all the while his fingers were literally bleeding during Oceania from playing so hard. Jeff was also on fire tonight; he was into guitar-world, face and all, during Silverfuck and For Martha. Mike and Nicole were totally rock solid all night, no flubs to my sensitive ears. Some douche jumped on stage during the end of Bullet and was promptly taken out by Geo via headlock. Doing so made some of Billy's wiring on the floor get messed up. Besides that, everything about tonight was perfect. I seriously wouldn't have this band any other way than it is right now. Fantastic vibe coming from everybody. I've become more and more impressed by everyone's performances each night.

Getting to meet Saeed, Simon and so many other unbelievably kind people this week has definitely made this one of the greatest of my life. :cheers:/>

Very casual fan - tickets were a last minute thing - but the show really brought back some good college memories :)/>

Disappointed not to hear a few more of the "MTV" songs... of course, but they definitely brought the rock... I think they were on for 2+ hours, right? BC sounded great. The band sounded great. Had me pulling out old CDs today and really appreciating what I saw last night.

Looking forward to the next time.

From what I remember they came on around 8:45 and finished at 11:15, so about 2 hours and twenty minutes.
In the middle of the "She sells seashells..." part at the end of the Silverfuck jam Billy messed it up. The whole band stopped as Billy yelled "Fuck" into the mic. It was pretty funny and the whole audience laughed at it. Billy just pointed at Nicole and playfully remarked "It was her fault!"

I never got to see the band pre-breakup. This is the fifth show I've seen in Boston since they reformed and it was the best. It was the classic Pumpkins setlist I would dream of. The new stuff sounded good too, I'm really excited for Oceania now!

Billy kidding with Nicole was awesome. It seemed like he was in a good mood. Shows are always so much more fun when the person playing on stage looks like their having a blast.

I so hope they do a run of shows like in 2008 for Oceania. The Orpheum preferably. I didn't like the Wang center as much. It'll never happen but it would be awesome, probably only for me(!), if they played Symphony Hall. :rofl:/>

So I was at this show, and while I had an awesome time seeing the band for my first time, and the pre-show meet-up was awesome(!!!!), the acoustics seemed terrible. I was seated in the balcony, under the mezannine, and I couldn't hear Billy, the lead guitars, or most of the drum work. All I could hear was bass and low end distortion. I bought the soundboard, and I collect auidience recordings, so I know it's not the band. Is it just that spot of the Orpheum that sucks? Where should I sit for the 2012 tour (I am sure as hell getting good seats!)?

Haven't been on the forums in forever, but went to this show, definitely awesome. My fiance and I have gone to every Boston pumpkins show since they reformed in 07, and this was probably my favorite. The setlist was great. We sat front row slightly to the left center of the stage. I actually video-taped the whole show, set my video camera right on the stage facing upwards at billy for most of the show, even got the entire part of the fancy space people performance where billy came out in a wig. Definitely a great show, and can't wait for them to come back around.

I was not in New England for the Rhode Island or Boston shows. I got to CT at the end of October. I am so bummed that I couldn't make any of those shows! I will be here until late August, but might stay longer depending on whether I'm stationed here or not. I hope I am and that SP swings by the area again.
