the only song I think I'm missing from this era is Rock On which I left out purposely.

Does anyone know if I am missing any thing important?

Excluding the Adore and Machina demos, and focusing more on publicly/commercially released songs.

I also posted this to see if anyone would order this differently, if I have a B-side in the wrong folder, and just to let people know something like this was possible.

Next I will try to fill a cd with everything pre-adore and post my findings.

Yes I did exactly that, and I also copied the tracklists of the albums Adore B-sides, Machina B-sides, and Zeitgeist B-sides.

oh wait those albums don't exist. :scatch:/> Thanks your reply anyway even though you don't get it.

I made 4 or 5 attempts at fitting every song and b-side from Adore to the Present on a single CD and got these results.

Of course I couldn't include a few things. (Ransom soundtrack, Age of Innocence (Alt), Rock On)

But with a Variable Bit Rate of 32 - 320 MBPS I was able to fit this, and it's an incredible CD for driving around.

I just discovered VBR mp3s, the files are so small considering how great the quality is.

It must be funny that I just discovered it, but I wonder if you're lol-ing because you don't think VBR sounds as good as I proclaim.

that's another thing about your issue: these days this 700MB cd problem doesn't apply to people anymore. there are usb sticks and mp3 players and space is never a problem.

It is so funny that this perplexes you. I lol at you.

My car does not have a USB port and I don't own or care to own an MP3 player. I have a CD player that can play "Data CDs" and a SiriusXM radio. This thread is perfectly viable for those who are not in the "most people" category.

I was reminded in this thread that there are larger sized CDRs (800mb so I do feel a little silly there), but I still stand by this thread as something that might be useful for some people. Some of the most interesting threads on this site are the ones where people reveal their song lists. On this thread you get a new twist on an Adore b-sides track-list, I suggest you listen to the songs I've listed in that order and you may be pleasantly surprised.

i don't know what VBR is. hehe. i don't have an ipad, iphone, ipod, or whatever else. i wouldn't mind an ipod if i can get one for free. otherwise, i'll wait til i really feel like getting one, like if i'm out a lot which is almost never.

VBR = Variable Bit Rate - basically the bit rate changes through out the MP3, the denser parts get 320bps where simple parts and silence will get a lower bit rate like 32bps or something. The converter will always chose the rate that it needs for the best quality without wasting space. It makes for High Quality Mp3s that are very small in size so you are able to fit more on a Disc.
I use Switch to convert.

I was in disbelief when I heard it myself. I also thought "Never had I heard such a great list!!" just like you. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to it, your enthusiastic reaction says it all.

on another note......

I decided that I was off on a few other listings. According to me, "Death From Above" now belongs on Zeitgeist because of its theme and because it is a great opener for "Bring the Light", so I re-added it after "Neverlost". I am satisfied with all these transitions now. "Stellar" and "Ma Belle" are great songs but do not fit on this album at all in their sounds and the way they're mixed. Plus they ruin the transition between "(Come On) Let's Go" and "God and Country". This order for me is the best way to listen to Zeitgeist.

I think a lot of people don't like this album because they listen to the longer versions that are placed together like an afterthought and don't flow as nice as the original release.

----- Zeitgeist --------
01 - Doomsday Clock
02 - 7 Shades of Black
03 - Bleeding the Orchid
04 - That's the Way (My Love Is)
05 - Tarantula
06 - Starz
07 - United States
08 - Neverlost
09 - Death From Above
10 - Bring the Light
11 - (Come On) Let's Go!
12 - For God and Country
13 - Pomp and Circumstances
14 - Zeitgeist
]

I also saw a lot of people are using Teargarden Theme as track 1. I like this a lot and have converted.

----- Teargarden By Kaleidyscope -------
[
01 - Teargarden Theme
02 - Song For A Son
03 - Astral Planes
04 - Widow Wake My Mind
05 - A Stitch In Time
06 - The Fellowship
07 - Freak
08 - Tom Tom
09 - Spangled
10 - Cottonwood Symphony
11 - Lightning Strikes
12 - Owata
