I think it's fantastic that we are finally getting reissues of the back catalogue (thanks Billy!). However, I can't help but wonder where the love is for the fan who purchases the $30 set who also wants the high-res files. It seems a bit silly to ask someone who is already paying $30 for the deluxe package to also have to pay an additional $22 for the high-res version...not to mention the Pumpkins' fan who wants it all (deluxe package, vinyl and high-res)...that's over 80 bucks for one album...yikes. I really mean this as constructive criticism, although I'm sure it seems like I'm complaining. Just a little disappointed, I guess. Times is hard, ya know? Reconsider price structure? Really, though, super excited, and thanks for all of the free demos 'n stuff.

Considering how niche the audiophile/high-res files will be and how few copies they're likely to sell, combined with the rarity of a band making such material available, $22 seems pretty reasonable to me.

FYI shipping rates to Europe for both Gish and Siamese dreams deluxe reissues almost cost me the price of a 3rd boxset (i.e. approximately 30$).
I wanted to purchase these items from SPRC because,... well you know... (+ I thought the extra tracks would be great to hear), but I'm pretty sure by now that this was not a very good idea...
It's just that I wanted those babies so badly that I purchased them on the day the pre-order was set up. I can be such a stupid compulsive fan sometimes... :wacko:/> I hardly recognize my cartesian-self in this.
Hopefully thanks to the euro/dollar conversion, the price I paid is finally not much higher than what I have seen so far in french local stores.

i agree. i'd prefer the records, but i chose the CDs for all the bonus shit.

i cannot justify the price of the new vinyl when i already own every one of their LPs on vinyl, even if it is remastered.
