I normally wouldn't think much of the rumors, but it seems Perry found out about the leaked lineup and got pissed so there might be some legitimacy to them.

I've been seeing rumors about them headlining the Reading and Leeds festivals this year too.

There were rumors last fall that SP could play Hyde Park leading up to the summer Olympics as well.

This line-up would be great save for a few bands, but...Missy Elliott & Beyonce WTF??

I would love to see some of these bands. SP, obviously, but I have been wanting Lolla to go a little harder. Metallica and Korn would be fantastic. I have heard a rumor about System of a Down as well.

Whats equally as interesting about the "line-up" is that many of those bands / acts have played Lollapalooza before...almost looks like this time round the festival will consist of those bands that headlined (so-to-speak) previously and brought the festival success.

The SP rumor came from a different source, Brent DiCrescenzo, music editor for Time Out Chicago via Twitter.

Looks like SP has been confirmed, and will return to Lolla for the first time since '94!

Doesn't look like they will headline as those slots appear to have been filled, but I could see them opening for the Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth or the Killers.

@lollaleaks was evidently correct about last year's festival. However, I'm not sure you're interpreting their tweets from today correctly. If you look at their timeline, they tweeted their supposed leaked schedule on the 15th. Then yesterday they tweeted several youtube videos.. all of songs called "Tomorrow"... from Annie, U2, James, and Morrissey... then today they tweeted the video of "Today". I'm not at all sure that means they're saying Pumpkins will play. Could be, but could be they're also messing around with songs called "Tomorrow" and "Today"
