The only news that's broke so far that I know of is that Oceania is slated for a June release. But that didn't come from SXSW, that came from Billy's twitter.

There is supposed to be a full length video of the session with Brian Solis soon (maybe another week or so), but honestly if Billy had given a bunch of details about Oceania in that talk people would have been tweeting about it. There were SP fans in that room and a ton of people who tweet for a living to boot and were tweeting almost everything Billy said.

I don't think the "experience" will be anything too wild. A stream with visuals and stuff before it gets released, something along those lines.

So basically there's going to be nothing from SXSW to announce then, am I correct?
This seems like another one of those famous "Announcements for an announcement about an announcement" situations. :rolleyes:/>

At least in the past, announcements for announcements eventually yielded solid info.
"Sometime in June", and nothing on the "album experience" were what we got here.
And we still know nothing on when Pisces is coming out.

I'm trying hard to be positive here, but unless I missed something, this either did not happen, or if it did, we have not been able to hear about it yet. 600 posts of speculation culminating in still being right back where we started.

I'm frankly at the "don;t give a fuck" stage of proceedings. which is very sad for this band as i was one of the few people who actually was very interested in what this album could be. You have to wonder what Mike, Nicole & Jeff must be thinking right now. its all quite embarrassing

I don;t either. I don't thkn, Billy has much a clue to be honest. Just "ideas". Thats all he has had in general since the band broke up - a whole bunch of idea's never fulfilled

Of course I mean that in the nicest way possible :cheers:/>
you are actually 100% right with that, but only that i am so let down & disappointed with this entire process & its creator that i feel the need to express it right in the heart of what should have been the band & albums victory ground. I come here much like a friend turning up to an old friends funeral, constantly thinking of what "could have been " and "what a waste", and reflecting on something i feel is a great loss of opportunity. No matter how great this album may turn out to be, i firmly believe the moment has now passed for it to matter and succeed, much like the moment passed for Brian Wilson & the Beach Boys when instead of focusing on finishing & perfecting the "lost" Smile album in 67 - they internally fought, self doubted the work and became more worried about how the world would perceive them. In the meantime they missed release after release until the Beatles released Sgt Pepper & realized they had dropped the ball & the moment was gone
I never "ranted" or even visited Netphoria - so i have no idea what this means

Help
