your lack in confidence and trust is amazing.
We aren't going to ask for something only 2 or 3 fans have suggested. We are going to ask for something BIG. Something worth releasing.
We won't be coming back with the "best of SP stuff fans already have in great quailty" featuring the rat in the cage song, and 1979 and some FM or SBD sourced concert you could download for free on archive.org

However, I do not know how to make this clearer to you; It is not that easy to blindly put trust and confidence into a project - which has no detailed out-line, let alone basic outline. It is simply beyond my comprehension for logic. I'm sorry for annoying you all with stupid requests for things like "information" and "facts", stuff like that, but its that sort of thing that I could get excited and confident about. Not "the team is doing something - you should be excited".
The lucky 13's role is surely, in part, to be accountable to the other (by proxy) 'unlucky' fans... is it not?

In addition to suggestions for possible material we could look at, I have also sent messages to the Lucky 13 suggesting that it might help to upgrade the site when the time comes (not sure if they have control over that) and I gave a number of suggestions of people I felt would be a good for the team if they weren't already involved. Now whether they already have some of those people involved is another question as I am not privy to that info. But I did mention people involved with SPFC, SPRLA, SPFreaks, and others. I even threw in names like Dave Asselin. I don't know how involved he is with the community anymore but he is very knowledgeable, so someone like him might be an asset if they were able to track him down and he agreed to be a part of it.

Hopefully they will be able to give us something more tangible soon. I know it's frustrating, I am eager to get the ball rolling as well. But I wouldn't, for example, expect a complete list of everything in the archive just yet. It sounds like that is ongoing process, and that Billy is still discovering what they do have. As I mentioned before, I think Billy was eager to get the project going and the announcement probably came just as the members of the team were thrown into the fray or soon after.

There's a way to do this without making the board go crazy. I think most people were pretty impressed with Billy's thoughts, attitude, and ideas on this project from the interview, so if you pitch something to Billy and he turns it down it will undoubtedly be for a legitimate reason (cost, plans to release the material elsewhere i.e. Metro DVD, rights, the material doesn't actually exist i.e. full Adore with Jimmy, etc.). I'm sure some people will whine, but the information would be useful when considering what to request.
I think what most people want to see is professionalism. Like was said previously, you all are acting as salespeople and hopefully have put together a relevant and professional proposal for Billy. Since no one knows who is in this group besides two people, one of whom is known to not have professionally-acceptable spelling or grammatical skills based on overwhelming evidence (and I don't mean to turn this into a bash-Monte session, even you would surely agree this is the case), there is uncertainty around whether the group is up to this task.
And while the idea of using statistics to analyze data is a noble goal, it really is laughable in this case. Even if you eliminate multiple "votes" by the same person, you're still not differentiating between, say, my willingness to pay $500 for a Rubano box and someone else's willingness to shout Pastichio Medley snippet titles but when the time comes not be willing to contribute money towards a product. The only meaningful data can only be gathered after money exchanges hands. Only then will you know have an idea what meaningful demand there is for, say, a digital download of a soundboard show, or a collectible piece of vinyl. The data you should actually be going after is sales data from livesmashingpumpkins.com and the soundboards offered last year, as well as the physical Teargarden EPs.

Yeah I appreciated Billy's thoughts on the subject. It sounds like he is really interested in putting out the Rubano tapes but the numbers he was throwing out seemed a bit high. Granted, he was talking about an entire box set in theoretical terms.
For me, my willingness to purchase and what form I would be interested in buying will depend on the release. The past sales data might be interesting to note, though it wouldn't necessarily determine what people would be willing to buy.
For what it's worth, I got two of the 20th anniversary shows (because I went to both shows and they were different setlists) and both of the Teargarden EPs. In terms of Teargarden, I pre-ordered Volume 2 because I enjoyed the vast majority of the EP. I was sort of 50-50 on Volume 1, so I didn't end up getting it until my girlfriend bought a copy of it well after the fact for me on Amazon for the holidays. I also got the deluxe reissues of Gish and Siamese Dream and intend to buy all the other reissues.
Ah okay, I wasn't sure. I just mentioned the name because I thought he was knowledgeable enough but I didn't know if he would even be interested, even if he was accessible. It's good to know he's still in the community though.

No idea, my own personal speculation was that it would be a replica of one of the existing flexi-discs, Daughter or I Am One. Since we are supposed to getting a replica of the SP Demo tape with Pisces, I figured they might go that route. But it could be just as easily (and mostly likely) be a new flexi-disc that has never been issued before.

i think it would be best for most if the track or tracks on the flexi are gish or siamese dream related. because that's what people pre-ordered.
DID SOMEONE ALREADY GET THE FLEXI? I CANNOT WAIT? PLEASE TELL US WHAT'S ON IT!

The flexi-disc I read wasn't supposed to be shipped till April 30th or something but I agree, it would make the most sense that it would be Gish/Siamese Dream related to tie it in with the reissues that people received late. I am sure that some people would find a Teargarden related flexi-disc cool, but in this context, an early years flexi-disc would make the most sense.

It's about the link Drevpile posted. I wonder if there are any other remix of Machina songs (as the GaTMOG was planned to be longer). And there are some other songs played in GaTMOG trailers/episodes that weren't released, like the so called The Everlasting Gaze GaTMOG Remix. There were two clips of unknown songs in Episode 2 and they sound like part of The Everlasting Gaze remix and an altered version of If There Is A God in Episode 1 too.

I don't like the Imploding Voice remix so much, it's alright, but it's like techo night, the ending of it was cool though. he should redo it and make a new one :p/>
Glass' Theme (shattering glass remix is better than the Glass remix)
why didn't he do more?
and now I see your post Fernando after I posted
would actually like to hear more if there is more. But if these are ever released I don't want the glass remix i want the shattering glass remix.

I have "Glass' Theme (remix)" as a file labelled "Glass (Matt Walker's Shard1-Betrayal Remix)". It's also 3.46 mins instead of the faded-out 2min version on ThePumpkins.net

also the other song that seemed to have lyrics in it sounded like James maybe? Unless Billy did some vocal changer thing to his voice, but it did not sound like him. Will these ever surface? I am very curious. especially with the song starting at 7:16

I would hazard that most people here would pay different amounts for different types of release. Live show / studio / demo / new songs - your survey doesn't hope to aggregate the differences properly. I might pay $1 for one live show and $20 for another depending on what it actually is - same with other types of release.
I can't believe you have gone down exactly the same route as the last time. You've dressed it up under the guise of a survey, but it's just the same thing. "How much will you pay for our mystery product". You are walking such a fine line by not actually giving our brains something tangible to work with.
Here; look, one example me: I don't spend shit all on SP now during a year. The music is crap. But I would spend more on archive stuff. How much more. I don't know without real parameters; ie: It depends on what it actually is you are asking me to consider. Most people, I would imagine, DO NOT care whether a hypothetical product comes in a fucking plastic case or a cardboard case. It might matter a little bit more to them though, if they knew what [it] was and how much [it] might cost though...
