What an incredible record.

I am so proud pf Billy, Jeff, Nicole, and Mike. Billy, you knocked it out of the park, brother.

Am I out of my mind when I say Glissandra is my favorite song? There is something so 80s about these songs. Some of them take me right back to 1987. I can't explain it. The outro to Oceania is amazing.

Stunning.

So I guess this is gonna get rave reviews and also have a "soars above expectations"/"return to form" vibe to most of them. Woot.

nah, i really cant see reviewers enjoying this, i do see alot of SP fans being won back though.

Album is unbelievable. I had no expectations going in after how terrible Teargarden was, but Billy has outdone himself here. I need a rip too, I can't wait a week to have this cranked in my car! I'll be buying this the morning it's released.

The last four songs are just perfect.
Whoever said something earlier about the last 15 minutes was spot on.

Billy reached his goal : He got us to listen the album in full !

Thank you for this good album. I have to admit that you forgot how to touch people with a good production. Simple and complex in the same time. Maybe I am over-emotional but as a batch of song, I think this is the best collection since 2000.

Yea, if anyone wants to pm me about a rip that'd be cool, but I guess there'll probably be a torrent in 2 days anyway.

Guitars sound great. It's hard to say how it's going to hold up or improve- Corgan's best work is almost insidious.

Also, Quasar is pure fucking rock. Can't imagine how a Smashing Pumpkins fan doesn't dig that one. It will sound even better on real speakers.

I don't get the hate for it either, it's the PERFECT opener. Love it. Right now Pinwheels is my overall favorite song.

I have listened 2 times all the way through. I had high expectations and it has lived up in my opinion. I am very happy that the board is reacting in this way. Just a great album.

Overall I'm very proud of the band and relieved that the pumpkins have a STUDIO album that lives up to the great legacy. The vocals were not an issue 90% of the time and most of the time they were pretty good. Musically this is the most accomplished thing billy has done since adore. Without question there are just stunning moments all over this record. I am one happy guy.

Does the album still articulate the theme of isolation? How are Billy's lyrics?

i keep stopping after one diamond and going back to the Celestials. IMHFO (in my honest fucking opinion) The Celestials -> Violet Rays -> MLIW -> One Diamond, One Heart is a god-damned awesome sequence.

I will be taking a 6 hour drive from Chicago to Minneapolis Wednesday, someone want to PM me a rip so I can listen 6 times there and 6 times back. I'm missing the show Thursday :(/> ... The least I can do is listen to the album 6 times in a row twice.

"Wildflower" is my least favorite. It will probably grow on me though. Something fitting about it being at the end.

this is the best he'll get. i don't smile good. I remember it took three day's worth of photo shoots to get a picture for a publication, that ended up getting scrapped. i still don't know how those pictures turned out...
