Dear Admins/Mods -

I have been a member of this board since the day it opened, but for various reasons, I have had a total of 4 different board names altogether - either due to being banned on an original name, or trying to hide my identity from others for personal security reasons at the time. KingBelteshazzar is my latest incarnation, since last winter.

My understanding is that at 2,000 posts, you are no longer an "intermediate member" but a "senior member". The perk of being a "senior member" is that I can change my underlying name/status/thingy on my own and have it be whatever I want to be, instead of it being the artificially generated "Cash Car Star" or "Ruby" or "Worm" or whatever. I really liked being able to change it on my own and have it be whatever I wanted, because it was self-expressive. That was fun.

So, the favor I am requesting is - if possible, can you go ahead and change KingBelteshazzar to a Senior Member? Collectively, through all my accounts, I now have 5,046 posts. I really don't want to have to wade through another 700 or so posts on my KingBelteshazzar account to get to senior member status again...I might not get there for awhile since I've been posting less. But again, I'd really like to have that capability back again, etc.

I would be very grateful.

- Daniel

it's your own fault, daniel. with all your accounts and whatnot. a proper senior member wouldn't have gotten himself into that kind of situation. so it only seems right that you remain an intermediate member for now.

one day you will get there. or not. whatever.

I never changed the part under my name. How do I do that? I never saw the option to do so

Go to the upper right hand corner, click on the little triangle that reveals the drop down menu. From there, select my settings. When you first click, you'll arrive at the settings page. There are three "tabs" labeled Settings, Forums, and Profile. Click on the profile settings. Under "Profile Information" you should see a box for "Member Title." Just put whatever you want in there. It says beneath the text field: "Your member title is shown beside posts you make."

In that case Belts should post those 139 in the philosophy board.

i don't, i don't think. but maybe.

i kind of intentionally don't post as much in the philosophy forum as i do elsewhere. in culture/politics, we can debate points and facts better, but when it comes to philosophy, it's really just peoples' viewpoints on life and that's harder debate.

Anyway. 98 moar posts to go.
