Isolation - Starchildren
Fear every day of the evening
Because we're all out from above
Carefully watch for a reason
Seeking devotion and love
Surrender to self preservation
For others care for themselves
My life is in touch with perfection
Persons (presence?) like anything else
Isolation
Mother I tried to believe me
I'm doing the best that I can
I'm shamed of the things I've been put through
Ashamed of the person I am
Isolation
If you could just see the beauty
These things I could never describe
There's pleasures and waiting distractions
This is my one little prize

"Revolution Comes"
instead of
"Revolution Crawls"
changes the meaning of the following line a LOT.

my eyes of headless creature
(my airs of madness do declare)
Love,ensure your love
(Love is who you know)
and she complains
(machine goes blues)
as you are filthy to me
(as you felt in to me)
I'l sell everything,now!
(Love solves everything,Love!)
too many misheards..it absolutely ruined the song for me
but after i looked up for lyrics i started to liking it
try it on your own ..its possible

'Boredom's in the bathroom shaking out the loose teeth'
'And nobody nowhere understands anything / about me and all my dreams / lost at sea'
'And what you never knew / can never get to you'
'No matter what you say he'll be back for more'
'Come around ruby i could never sleep alone'
Of course, when all the lyrics are in there, it does seem to be about something a little different... But how it felt when I misunderstood actually has more resonance than it does when I listen to the lyrics properly.

"you're all a part of me now" in Sacred and Profane sounds like "you're a lobotomy now"
and speaking of Billy the Egomaniac, I wish she still made those comics.. always good.

"I'm torn, broken, and frayed" An alt lyric of that could be...
"Tom broke in and prayed."
The other lyric is...
"I'm cold, worn out and shamed." An alt lyric of that could be...
"I'll cough, want out and shake."

Nice ones Blue, Pomp and Circumstances is definately one of B.C.s top creations, especially the solo!
I have to say it: Who votes on those Grammy Award Nominations? Did any of them listen to Pomp and Circumstances? I mean really listen? It's called this. Here ya go. This is what it's called. This is what it's all about. Ready?
A great musical artist gives you so much in one song. An average musical artist doesn't think about it. It's about layers of thought. R.E.M. described it as if you want to enjoy a song on the most basic of levels go ahead but we make albums where if you'd like to sit and think about our songs we've also taken care of including depth in our songs.
Pomp and Circumstances I will be listening to for as long as I listen to music. That's a song I would never play for most people I know. Because if they didn't like it I would consider having nothing else to do with them. That song means everything to me.
When a song inspires you to follow your dreams, that's a good song.
There should just be a web site dedicated to the song Pomp and Circumstances.

lol thanks. I heard that every time I listened to it for years, as did my older brother. It always puzzled me as to why Billy would leave such a hilarious lyric in that song..
Today I was trying to take a nap and I randomly remembered the "she's got a really nice outfit" line and started laughing out loud. I seriously couldn't stop

It really does sound like he's saying "I went bowling"
I never really thought he was saying "brown cow".

And I said, I wanna fill you up, I wanna break you, I wanna give you up
I'm still of the opinion he actually does say "rape" in the song and it was changed in the lyric book to avoid controversy and/or out of error.

Rhinoceros:
"Planned a show" whereas I always thought it was "Panda show"
"Open your eyes to these must I lie?" whereas I always heard "Open your eyes to these mudslides"

I guess I gave Billy too much credit, assuming he'd keep it PG
