I wish Billy would have never quit using the name. Just called the Zwan lineup SP and kept on going. I know I'm in the minority but I love MSOTS

OR, kept the side project going like Maynard James Keenan does. Why do the nasty break up? But you should remember there was a complainer in Zwan. DP (not double penetration ha!) publicly wrote he barely got paid in Zwan.

We won't ever really know why because I believe there were a few conspirators involved in getting Soundgarden back together. Chris Cornell was the victim in all this. After Audioslave broke up, Street Sweeper Social Club surfaced the tour with NIN and Jane's Addiction. Meanwhile, Tom Morello was doing a few solo shows on the side with his friends, one of them being Kim Thayil, ex-soundgarden guitarist. Chris Cornell's solo career was skyrocketing after Audioslave. I believe Tom spoke with Trent to tweet that Chris Cornell's new album Scream was like "that feeling you get when somebody embarrasses themselves so badly YOU feel uncomfortable," Chris Cornell replied by tweeting to Trent Reznor that "What do you think Jesus would twitter," Cornell asks. " 'Let he who is without sin cast the first stone' or 'Has anyone seen Judas? He was here a minute ago.' " Basically put down Chris' solo effort to get the original band back together. There's my theory based on a few tweets.

You know what's funny is Kroq in Los Angeles played Rhinoceros way more than they did Today. Don't get me wrong Today is a good song. However, the Siamese Dream album at the time in 1993 wasn't nearly as big as Mellon Collie or Gish(only rhinoceros). But for some very strange reason there were many reviews saying Siamese Dream was their greatest album ever. Maybe everyone plays guitar nowadays. It's a pretty simple song to play. I love the Pumpkins! XYU gets more praise...

Keep the stories coming, that is awesome!!!

I drank a few free Bud Light's there. So my story telling might be slightly different than the interview. So I'm going to present as if I'm Billy talking there now:

My Dad gave me only one guitar lesson. He would always roll some blunts while he was playing guitar, which might explain why I seemed baked while playing my music. --- I was at an Iron Maiden show in 1983 when all of a sudden my brother pulls on my shirt and says we have to go. Mom wants to go. I said no. But he kept tugging at me for us to go. So I left and I'm still mad about it. (laughs) --- My Dad lives in Florida. No plans to collaborate with him. He's retired from rock n roll. He likes to live vicariously through me. It's kind of weird.---

If I remember anything else, I'll reply in this topic.

Just got back from the Hollywood Penthouse Tower. Billy was wearing his personalized Nike shoes with a different color scheme. Bright gold on black. It was bloody awesome! I told him I loved the song Gossamer... Darren from 987 asked him about touring in South Africa in 2000 and he told us about how the Cab driver told him not to go to a specified island due to the drug lords there. Then at his hotel there were barbed wire all around the perimeter and they told him not to argue with anyone there since everyone carries a gun. He was at a restaurant there where a native was yelling the N word at them and telling them to go back to America for several minutes. They didn't respond. Then, the next day a celebrity (wife?) was murdered at that restaurant 24 hours later. There were lots of fun stories that were shared. ;)/> He was very sincere and honest!
