    Hey :). Did you ever listen to The Modern Lovers? They're a lesser known proto-punk band, but they had a big influence on the future scenes. I bought their album recently and was really blown away. They sound kind of like Lou Reed/Velvet Underground in terms of simplicity/musical arrangements, but are completely different lyrically. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_exvKnrK6g
