It really annoys me that I've been hearing talk that the new band isn't the old band and etc, but come on Pitchfork media, and other self-important scenester magz just can't seem to spot the difference between manufactured bands (r.k and b.y.o.p) and real bands (like the pumkins, black moth super rainbow and sonic youth)with much accuracy. It is people like that that have to be told what music to like (via record company dads in chatrooms) and what clothes to wear. DADADADADADaDA.

The new band kicks just as much ass as the old band- it's just a different dynamic. I especially like the fact that it looks like Jeff and Corgan can trade solos which I think is bad ass. Iha or Darcy never really improvised much.
