Adore is wonderful.
This album is special to me because I love how vulnerable it is. Billy's life was in shambles, and I think this album really expressed that without ever being whiny or "woe is me". "For Martha" was a lovely tribute to his mum, and songs like "Crestfallen" and "Blank Page" really show the pain he felt towards his divorce. I love the emotion; thats one of the firs things I look for in an album is "how expressive is it? How authentic are the words and feelings?" This is truly the most expressive album from the band to date.
The beats to the tracks are so fun; the melody to songs like "Ava Adore" and "Pug" are half the fun.
One of my favorites, for sure. Anyone who bailed out on the pumpkins after Mellon Collie made a bad choice, because this cd is truly remarkable.
