a tad hypocritical

well it's interesting that he's suing virgin. i sure didn't see 18 million different versions of mellon collie when it came out. i mean i understand that they used the smashing pumpkins name to sell more pepsi and stuff on amazon, and also they've used pumpkins songs for baseball and stuff, but i'm pretty sure corgan had control over that and the songs on guitar hero and rock star. this reminds me a bit about when wacko jacko bought the rights to the lennon/mcartney catalog. sir paul once said, "'Revolution' isn't about sneakers; it was about a revolution." the virgin pumpkins catalog isn't about pepsi and amazon, it speaks for itself, and corgan has every right to sue them, but at least virgin didn't release a bunch of different versions of the same album, and then a couple of months later release one with almost ALL the extra songs on the other ones plus a new one and a DVD (MSOTS by Zwan had a bonus DVD,but it didn't cost extra, and there was only ONE version of the album. TFE didn't even have anything extra except for, oh yeah, if you bought it at target, you got tilt with it. whoopee.) anyway i understand where he's coming from, but it's a little hypocritical since he signed with reprise and they tried to turn zeitgest into the biggest cash cow of 2007.
