I am really glad that they accepted this in the way that it was meant. I can see what Billy was thinking though as to whether it would actually mean anything or turn out to be anything positive? I'm sure it's a good thing for the guys to think these things through as they have had to put up with a lot of crap over the years too.
It did seem to be tinged with a little sadness too though with it only being Billy & Jimmy. But I really think that everything happens for a reason and things are going really good for the band at the moment & the 2 members that stuck it out where honoured again as they should be!
I have to say too, I wish it was "Smashing Pumpkins Day" everyday, even though in my little world, it already is ;-)
