just because you dont like nirvana doesnt mean they didnt have an impact and influence on bands and music in general. nickelback, puddle of mudd, candlebox, vast, and staind are just a FEW of the bands who say they were influenced by Nirvana. not to mention without Nirvana there would be no Foo fighters, and who would deny that they are one of the biggest and successful rock bands out there right now.
SP is incredible and have also influenced many bands, but why are you trying to compair them with Nirvana? sure, they came out around the same time, but they are different styles, different music, and have different personal ideals.
Also, Nirvana were the ones that brought originality and honesty back to the music industry. Before them it was just shit like Whitesnake and Posion, bands who werent into the music FOR the music, they were just riding the mainstream train to money, fame, and getting with groupies. Nirvana played how ever the [bad word removed] they wanted, same with SP. they both did their own thing and have given us something amazing and that will last forever. their music
