Why I'm A Fan
May 23, 2007, 7:14 am - IWillEatYourSoul
Smashing Pumpkins weren't very big in my school - everyone was talking about Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden - so I didn't discover them until the '1979' video came out.

Shortly after, I borrowed my friend's copy of Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness for as long as I could possibly hold onto it. I got my own copy of that, The Aeroplane Flies High and 'The End Is The Beginning Is The End' and it snowballed from there. I now have almost everything they released in my native UK.

In order of preference (this sometimes changes but not much), albums:

1. Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness
2. Adore
3. Machina/MACHINES OF GOD
4. Siamese Dream
5. Gish
6. Zeitgeist
7. Machina II/FRIENDS AND ENEMIES OF MODERN MUSIC

Songs:

1. 'Galapogos'
2. 'Stand Inside Your Love'
3. 'For Martha'
4. 'Medellia Of The Gray Skies'
5. 'Soma'

As for the various non-Pumpkins albums:

1. Let It Come Down by James Iha
2. Life Begins Again by Jimmy Chamberlin Complex
3. Mary Star Of The Sea by Zwan
4. TheFutureEmbrace by Billy Corgan
