A gentle head nod and a nice Tee shirt comment is all that needs to be said. It makes you feel good and if you have ever had it said to you it can make a bad day into a fantastic one. I do not have to be ones friend on a connected level to make someone else's day. Its just a general comment about ones item of clothing

well it never happened to me... where i live nobody knows the pumpkins, except for my friends, and some friends of them, cuz they all know me...
those poor souls, never listened to good music...
this is what i think, if i knew about anyone that knew the pumpkins, i probably would talk to this person, and ask when/how did he/she met the band, and i would probably happy, cuz i mean the band needs to sell they live of their music, jejej and well none here understands why i am a fan, so maybe i would have someone to talk about that the whole day ejeje anyway i don't really know...

I think everyone can do wrong. I love the Smashing Pumpkins as much as anyone else. I just don't worship Billy or anyone else like some kind of god.

as for me...i came back from the residency concert in San Fran...i was working at my school, Cal State LA, in an office where students come in constantly to get their school IDs..i was wearing my white SP shirt, the new zeigeist one..it was rush week, first week of school, so students were pouring in...as i'm helping students out, some guy comes up to me and says, i love your shirt! i'm like me too. ^_^ and he said he's going to be going to San Fran for a concert, and i told him i just went! we were in our own little worlds, talking about the band, what songs we wanted to really hear, just a lot of random info too..and all the other people around us were like "...??" but we didn't care...it made our days

then another time, i was walking to class and i saw a guy with the same shirt, but in red i think...i looked at it, we made eye contact, and i said "love your shirt" and he just smiled at me

am i the only one who doesnt wear my sp shirt in public... my machina one is fadey and i lost my lollapalooza one it had holes all over and i think it just turned to dust or something

i think whoever made this news article should have been picked as one of the writers... getting much action around here

except at gigs where everyone is a fan- but if I did see someone wearing a shirt or something like that I'd probably get excited on the inside and if I was in the right kind of mood I might say something

Everyone in my school listens to shit music. It sucks.

Most people I am around daily just don't care about the pumpkins mainly because they are into a completely genre of music. Go figure. I still listen to it and they hear it all the time. And for me I find myself more in touch with who I am. One day they will appreciate SP music a lot more. I plan on having my husband come to a concert with me. One of our fantasy football players loves them too, I just found that out recently. So that will be cool. I have Billy as my football logo. I usually don't chat about what SP items I have, but...
bought the shirt Friends and Enemies (fire/water) on the front and-it's a very personal shirt for me, I am a fire sign and my husband and 3 boys are water signs. (whoa...I need 4 water signs around me...and I bet I could use more...lol)
It's perfect. That's one thing that is special about SP they seem to always relate to peoples life.

I recognize them, I tell them they're wearing an incredible shirt... they usually say thanks and smile gently...
