I read your 'I like the setlists' and I agree with you. I live in Brandon, Manitoba, a small agricultural city in the prairies of Canada, about 2+ hours west of Winnipeg (where Neil Young/the Guess Who originated from). The Pumpkins came to Winnipeg in '96 and 2000, but I never was able to see them. Now seven years later, it looks like the Pumpkins Canadian tour will consist of only 3 places, 2 of which are festivals. I decided to spend what I have saved and go out to them, as I bought tickets to Ridgefield, Washington on Sept.21. Yes, I want to hear 1979, BWBW, Today... everything and anything that is brougt forth to me, I'll take it. I love this band and have waited, like the rest, for their return.
Actually, I don't really blame the Pumpkins if they never come back to Winnipeg. I've heard of alot of people who criticized them the last time. Not to be too judgemental, but the folks around here tend to be more on the 'Nickelback' side of music. (yes, a shiver went down my spine as well, haha). That and the fact that Winnipeg has become and still is the murder capitol of Canada. But I'm not here to badmouth, I'm here to share in the excitement of the return of SP. It's really cool to meet another passionate fan such as yourself. I hope you get to see them, no matter what they play
