ABOUT ME
This is a good question. I like SP because they're one of the only bands I know of that have the musical and lyrical versatility of the Beatles in the modern age. Billy's talent cannot be denied, the guy can pull off everything from unaccompanied guitar solos to Hendrix-esque chord structures to lyrics that we can all relate to, and yet we have no idea what the songs are actually about, as Billy sees them.

To me, Soma relates to a time in my life where I was betrayed by my "best friend" and I ended up taking it out on myself. To you, it means something else. To Billy, who knows?

The point is this: The Smashing Pumpkins, in their revival, rejoin a select few bands that have the firepower to back up their swagger. It is music that means something more than "I hate my parents" "I hate society" or "Drink Coke/Pepsi/RC!". Sure, their songs say the first two many times, but in a much more expressive way than you would find in, say, an Avril Lavigne album.
FAVORITE LYRIC
So let the sadness come again
On that you can depend on me, yeah,
Until the bitter, bitter end of the world
When God sleeps in bliss

Song Title: Soma

Sounds like a great gig. It was the same in Glasgow-Scotland, the band were quiet probably exhausted too. One idiot threw a pint but thankfully his aim was so crap it didn't reach the stage,I never understand why the usual "village idiots" turn up and heckle at gigs..do they not realise that most people there are HUGE fans and want to hear and see the band.Really bugs me, they are such idiots.
