I don't know if I could name one thing. Its great music, lyrically its intelligent and its just pain fun to rock to!

I became a fan in 1995 right around Mellon Collie, and it was just as I was becoming musically aware. Other bands like Soundgarden, Aerosmith, Green Day and *gasp* Hootie & the Blowfish had caught my ear, but The Smashing Pumpkins was unlike anything I'd heard. Songs like Tonight, Tonight and Zero really touched me. Along with the visuals of their creative music videos it was enough to capture my heart and mind.

Throught the years I've changed, and so has the music. It was there for my parents' divorce, and other tough times in my life. Dealing with typical issues adolescents and young adults have to deal with. I do not think I would be quite the person I am today if it were not for The Smashing Pumpkins.

From the time I first saw them on Beavis & Butthead to now, The Smashing Pumpkins have always been creative, complex and great musicians.
