the gig was amazing! only my second time seeing the Pumpkins live. but anyway yeah, they were great. Billy was far more talkative (why did people shout at him for that! haha) than last time, interacting with the crowd and being a funny guy.
me and my friend were right up the front pretty much too (last time at the Glasgow Carling Academy we were on the balcony) so we had a great view and i got goooood photos (though some are blurry i couldn't care haha).
the support band was also pretty good, 'Twin Atlantic'. crowd/audience were awesome too, at first hardly anyone was there, but then the place was packed! from the jumping around of Tonight, Tonight (my favourite ever song) to the slow swaying of Lily (My One and Only), pretty good crowd.
we all know the legend in the crowd was "Morrisseys brother!" haha!
also i bought a Tonight, Tonight poster from a guy outside (last year i bought 1979) so i'm well chuffed. i love that poster but couldnt find it anywhere on the internet and there he was haha so me and my friend both bought one (both last year too lol).
well what else can i say...

PS American Gothic is pretty good EP too. i downloaded it earlier in January, but i had the intention of buying it when it came out, which i did the day before the gig. it's cool! the CD case looks cheap from the front but when you actually look at it and the inside and that it's nice and cool. smells nice too lol.

Hey I was on the balcony for the last Glasgow gig too. Got seated tickets for Manchester-kinda wishing I was standing now.....would be more fun. Ah well.

I found BIlly interacted more in smaller gigs in the past...going to see them in the Arena in Manchester,last big SP gig I went to was the one in 96 in the POint Dublin where Bernadette O Brien died..will be weird to be at a big gig.

I was exactly the same, I stood there with my baby bro who so isnt a Pumpkins fan & he was like comon theyre not there & I had to pull the big sis routine & refused to leave hahaha!! It was so funny, he was dead embarassed.
You should head to their next gig in Feb-Im sure it will be super as in Aug

Yeah gig was deadly but I waited & waited until security threatened to call police to move us on..it was sooo funny as all "the crowd" were about 3 frozen people huddling and feeling daft..so so funny. Still think that maybe the SPs were sitting on the bus thinking what wallies we were...will never find out I 'spose. Hows you?
