Isnt it amazing how the SP can get you through anything whenever your down Billy always makes u feel good again. No other band has ever been able to do that for me, maybe its becaus of the mixture of gothic rock, heavy metal, dream pop, psychedelic rock, progressive rock, shoegazer-style that come from the pumpkins. I love the soft songs like By starlight one of my all time favourites galapogos, in the arms of sleep and heaps more but i also love the hard core rock sound of songs like X.Y.U, [bad word removed] You, Doomsday Clock and tonnes more. Well there is so much more i could say but frankely there is not space lol jj
I am struggling to learn some of the SP songs but im only an amiture guitarist so im not going very well lol

I was going to suggest you learn Daydream, but I just remembered I didn't learn that song til a few months ago... barre chords hated me for a looong time. But you might be able to learn Crush (off gish) and We Only Come Out At Night. We only come out at night is very very easy, it was the first full song I actually did very well at, hahaha.

that's ok, I love reading how people became SP fans! everyone has a different story... Yes my friends think I am a freak too, because I'm only in 7th grade, so all my friends are listening to Panic!, Fall out Boy, Green day (I like panic and green day though... f*cking hate fall out boy) so everyone is like "oh it's that band that she likes" but nobody really knows who they are here, and the ones who know know because of me, mostly. Turns out I'm the only friend of alot of people, I send friend requests to anyone who looks interesting haha... which is pretty much everyone I come across on this site. Poor me in Alaska... I am very, very excited I get to see them in September. Though it's costing my family over a thousand dollars, and we're poorish... it's very expensive to live here... but it'll be the trip of a lifetime.

I also play guitar, duh, hah, I just came back from my music room (I was trying to play Geek USA... I'm getting there) as it says in my why i'm a fan story (or does it...? I don't know) I became a fan in 2005, when I was 10, actually a month before Billy announced the reformation... I didn't realize it but I've been a fan all along, I saw them on Letterman in 2000, and my brother's had Adore since it came out (I loved that CD so much when I was about..7) I also am a huge fan of Zwan, and it's a shame that Billy isn't able to think about the Zwan music, because Settle Down is a song that's very close to me... but at least I have SP!


I hope that Australia sees a pumpkins concert sometime soon! I hear they're coming to New Zealand for the first time since '98, but so far no word on Austraila. haven't been paying too close attention, that's pretty far from alaska... hahaha.

well I wish you luck on your guitar! I suggest for the easiest SP tabs go to http://www.netphoria.org/rottenapples/charts.htm. that's how I started playing guitar, my first song was Sweet Sweet (I was absolutely terrible) but there are some really easy songs on there. check it out!
