Blank Page has always been my favorite song on Adore as well because of it's ability to take simple chord changes and really rip your heart right out and it still amazes me how something so powerful can be wrapped up into such an easy, simple song to play! Bravo to you Sir!

Hey there. Saw your post about the Ridgefield, WA, show and your mention that you were at the 6 Jan. '97 show in Seattle. That was my first SP show, and I've been trying for years to find a recording of it. Do you have it, perchance?

WHY I'M A FAN
Why i'm a fan....hooo boy....here goes. Back in 1994 a little song grabbed my attention. It had this bombastic, fat, fuzzy guitar tone, and this strange nasal singing, with a video that had an ice cream truck in it. I did not think much of it at the time, but a seed had been planted that day. Skip ahead to summer of 1995. I was stuck in Topeka Kansas and was bored in a basement when I had an epiphany. "I plan to take up guitar when I get back home." Skip ahead to x-mas. I got a guitar. Yes! Then I started to play songs by Green Day, Helmet...but they left something to be desired. I had been borrowing my brothers copy of Siamese, and well, I got the sheet music, busted out the distortion, and that was all she wrote. That album took it over the edge for me. From then on it was Pumpkins 24/7. As my playing developed, so did my appreciation, and admiration for Billy Corgan. I collected almost every magazine article I could find about the band, read, re read, and read again, each interview with Billy. I studied his playing techniques, his scream, and his affinity for writing visceral loud alterna metal, and moving experimental, and quiet acoustic laments on family, angst, death, and confusion. Those songs always appealed to me most. I loved hearing true insight into someones soul with an acoustic guitar it says so much more. In the darkest times of my life, I have always turned to this band, Billy, for inspiration in my music, for rekindling a purpose to existence, for the energy, truth, heart, and not to mention, studio proficiency, and balls out ripping guitar talent. Billy and CO. are so much to me...it is almost like a contained reniassance', I have never seen a band wear so many musical hats (well other than the Beatles..whom I rediscovered through the Pumpkins as well..). I am so excited that the band we all know and love, is back to deliver its trademark psychedelic, fuzzed out, goth influenced heavy rock! I just hope that all the Panic's! at the Disco stand up and take note of what a real band sounds like. Billy is back to recclaim his throne, and let his usurprious subjects all know who really is in charge. That is why I love this band.
Feel free to peruse me if you want to, all are welcome

I found this concert in the audio section and I have to say this version of "Glass" and "Heavy Metal" is how they should have been recorded! Viva La Pumpkins!

FAVORITE LYRIC
I catch the rainfall
Through the leaking roof
That you had left behind
You remind me
Of that leak in my soul
The rain falls
My friends call
Leaking rain on the phone
