question looks easy enough, but hard to pin down one of the many answers I guess its just that the pumpkins music has really resonated with me and its gotten me through many a dark night, it is very special to me. Also because its such a pleasure to play (as a musician) - the songs not only appeal to me aesthetically or emotionally, but they are just alot of fun to play - some of the most sublime riffs and just really well structured songs. Easily one of the few bands who I can say has truly influenced the person that I am today. I still remember getting home with my brand new double cd copy of Mellon Collie and just being absolutely floored.. Aside from the music and what it means to me - the pumpkins have always had a spot in my heart because despite the fact that we have never met, and probably never will, i feel as though I have a personal relationship with them. They really do care about their fans - and this site is another example of the ongoing relationship we as fans have with them as a band. I cant wait for the Australian tour !
