I think you remarks about the past music speaks for all the old fans and I couldn't have said it better myself. I LOVE new Orleans, I am a native Floridian but my state is all screwed up from all the corporate carpet-baggers and is becoming way too expensive to live in. The Voodoo show was my 2nd time in New Orleans and I plan on moving there next year! I want to help re-build and start over there, be part of the rebirth. With the Zeigeist thing, it is a great album and I love the guitar work and the liner notes art, esp the paris and lindsay shot, it really does capture the "zeitgeist" (spirit of the times)but lyrically the album fell short. Anyway, I am serious about moving to New Orleans with my husband, we are already calling it home, as in "We are moving back home next year." I cried when I left sunday afternoon to go back to Tallahassee. I'm still leafing through all the tour leaflets we picked up and dreaming . . . so I'm gonna send u a friend request since I am trying to meet cool people in New Orleans, cool? _ Jan

WHY I'M A FAN
I have been a fan for a looong time now. I have to say that their music and lyrics got me through many hard times, particularly the difficult and awkward high school years. I would come home from school, go in my room, and turn on some pumpkins and it finally felt like I wasn't alone anymore. I got to see them twice on their last tour before they broke up and once just the other day. I am from New Orleans and they had a tour date in Lafayette,LA about 2 hours from home but no scheduled show in New Orleans. So I immediately bought tickets to that and went to that show, then at the end of the tour they decided to add on a show in New Orleans, at the Lakefront arena. That show was amazing. I will never forget it. After having been through so much here in New Orleans with losing everything, it was refreshing to go to Voodoo Festival this past weekend and be able to see one of my favorite bands in the city that I love. That area they played in was under water at the end of '05. I haven't been able to go to many shows because of money and time constraints and I think that has brought me down a little, since music is therapeutic for me. I have to say thank you!!! Thanks for visiting New Orleans and bringing in some life to a city that has been a bit limp these past few years. And thank you for making more music... I am so glad that Jimmy decided to rejoin Billy because I really think that the combination of Billy's voice and Jimmy's distinct and incredible talent on drums are what really show the true Pumpkins style. Again, THANK YOU!
