We're going to a photo shoot tomorrow with him and his outfit. He's going to wear it to the concert Halloween eve in Atlanta. We didn't get great seats but they will do. Honey I have managed to keep both my 5 year old and 3 year old from candy their entire life thus far. Hoping this isn't the year. They both have 16 food allergies and corn is one of them. Corn syrup is in everything.

PS: I love the new album. I favor some songs over others but I do love the album as a whole. I really am looking forward to him recording If All Goes Wrong that he wrote in Asheville. That was really a beautiful wong.

No shaved head for little man. He's just now growing it back out from a mohawk but he will have the costume that Billy wore in Madrid. With is skull shoes and black and white undershirt LOL. He's so excited, you can not really imagine how excited that HE is to dress like this and go to the concert. He is going to be a rock star in some form or fashion for sure.

But as long as you don't believe it's there, you havn't proven that it hasn't gone away.

I understand what you're saying about Zeitgeist dealing with Billys faith. After a few listens through I found it very obvious (in a moment of clarity) that Billy's new album is about his faith (or at leasts many aspects of it are inpired by his faith). Billy has said in interviews that he's been reading the Bible and becoming faithful in the christian God. Obviously the Zwan cd was very much so a christian statement by Billy (Decleration of Faith? Jesus I?), although I might not be so sure that he wasnt just saying those things as part of a statement if it wasn't for so much other evidence. Billy also thanks Jesus Christ, God, and Mary (is he Catholic?!) in the Zeitgeist thankls section. Also 'Death From Above' features the lyrics 'Help Lrd I'm Sinking', and Lets Go says something about God being the only was (I think... i'm to lazy to go look it up so dont quote me). Bring the light is such a christian song in my opinion and of course God and Country is Billy's resolution. I think God and America are the two things the whole album is about.

Thanks :-)
I'm trying to get a costume made for my son to wear at the atlanta show for halloween. He wants to be Billy Corgan. I hope they let us video that show as well.

Reality is that which when you stop believing in it won't go away.

I think that I understand your comment, although I'm not sure that I agree (about faith). I am obsessed by Zeitgeist, but faith probably has very little to do with it. I'm seeing terms like "faithful," "devoted," and "true" thrown around a lot lately in conjunction with the SP. I'm not sure if this is a new thing or if I was a less critical reader the last time I spent any amount of time reading fan forums. It all seems strange and jarring, not in keeping with my schema for what is the SP, maybe something that sprang up around the "mythology" of Machina. I didn't believe in god (in any good sense) when I was fourteen and a decade hasn't changed that. My degree of disbelief/indifference/hostility has varied, but my fundamental inability to "believe" has never wavered. I've seen a lot of crazy (mostly Latin American?) fans refer to BC as god (or at least A god), but I'm only *slightly* more inclined to place blind trust in a man than in an abstract theological construct. I was raised Catholic, however, and share a good deal of Corgan's admiration for the Virgin Mary, despite my professed atheism.

WHY I'M A FAN
I first heard the Smashing Pumpkins in '93' and my life was changed forever, I took my first steps towards identity and found a purpose for my life in songwriting, playing music and performing. Their music has always had a profound effect on me and I've come from being a sook to weilding a magick lamp. I'll always stand by whatever Billy does.
Long live the Smashing Pumpkins!
