I bought Adore from a friend for $5 in 1998, and I thought how bad could this be. At least it's only 5$. The first song blew me away. Then Ava Adore... Daphne Descends... For Martha... I was captivated. I started trying to find live recordings of those songs, as was my fetish at the time. By this process I stumbled into Siamese Dream. That was it. I never needed another band. Every style I could ever want this crazy bald guy, Asian dude, blond chick bassist, and John Bonham mixed with Buddy Rich did as well if not better than everybody else. As time went on I found myself loving Machina, and the subsequent sequel release. I loved the red haired bassist chick. I loved Billy surrounded by indie rock all-stars (Zwan), and now I love the new album. I've yet to be let down, and if there was a song I didn't love at first it grew on me eventually.
