I read in today's Chicago Tribune that the Pumpkins turned down the July 4th slot offered to them by WXRT at Taste of Chicago.

What gives?

Have they forgotten their roots?

Or do they even consider themselves a Chicago act anymore?

They've played all over the world (even down in Bloomington-Normal of all places) but keep giving "the city by the lake" a miss.

Maybe it's time to start giving SP a miss.
